Le Bistro des Amis in Craven

This is first and foremost a classic French bistrot with excellent food. We did my Dad's wake here. Fraser and the team offer a warm and personalised service in a relaxed atmosphere. Le Bistrot is perhaps not automatically on the West Yorkshire list for wakes but by jove they give a wonderful send off with lovely food and friendly service. I cannot recommend them enough.

Firstly the service is exceptional, the decor and ambiance is most comfortable, but when it comes to the food, the standard is of a very high degree and the depth of flavours makes this restaurant a most classy experience indeed.

Great food, good and friendly service and reasonably priced. Visited many times and never been disappointed. Menu is varied and wine is good. Would definitely return.

Very good restaurant would recommend. If you want me to recommend a dish I think you should get the steak. Amazing staff and owner who acquainted us to a seats and served me in a professional manner with great food!

This is thee best restaurant in skipton!I attended this restaurant 9 months pregnant with my best friend and I had the most fabulous experience!I called as a last minutes booking and explained I am 9 months pregnant. The staff were extremely accommodating, I was provided an extremely easy access table with a seat with extra cushions for extra comfort!I was greeted on arrival by a gentleman called Frazier who was most polite, professional, and knowledgeable regarding the food and wine pairing.A real warm and friendly welcome.The french savignon blanc paired perfectly with our sea food dishes! Then seafood parcels are divine, and the fillet of plaice with lemon butter was so tender and cooked to perfection.Service was second to non! A really relaxed, beautifully seasoned and cooked meal. Our server Ellie was also very friendly, bubbly and professional.After working in the industry for 7 years myself in silver service I can promise you a spectacular dining experience here at reasonable prices. (I didn’t really want to leave!)By far the best food and service in skipton.This is our new monthly spot for sure!Keep up the good work guys! ❤️ 👏🏼

Served cold food!!!! Had FOOD POISONING. Cold rice caused diarrhoea! This was dealt with appallingly!!!Please beware and check when ordering. Not comp either!!We ordered the fish parcel and beef stroganoff.Fish parcel arrived lukewarm.The rice was cold! and arrived with a small portion of beef.Very disappointed. We mentioned it to the staff who took it away swiftly then microwaved the whole dish leaving the beef stroganoff overcooked. Not very tasty. Serving cold rice can cause food poisoning. The staff was unsure if the rice should be hot.We didn't want to order desert incase they did something to it, especially seeing how they made our mains.The staff avoided us for the remainder for the meal and didn't ask us how we were.We were offered no compensation either.It is incidents like this that shows if restaurants are professional.This is not acceptable especially seeing all the good reviews online.Imagine if they served that to an elderly or pregnant lady!

Highly recommend the lovely bristro cuisine. A variety of great food and wines available. Make sure booking in advance as it can get quite busy:)

Thoroughly enjoyed my food here. Had king prawns, scallops, dressed crab and venison.Wine list was decent.The food is not quite top end, it's sort of a step below fine dining but I feel that's reflected in the pricing. Had a really nice time

Amazing! The staff were incredible and so attentive, despite our chaotically large group of 24. The service was faultless, and the food, especially the starters were amazing. Would love to come back here again.
