Not been here since the late 1980s when we used to call in for a drink after caving.Enjoyed a nice mid-week lunch. The food is good and a well kept selection of regional real ales at the bar.Unfortunately the comfortable country Inn atmosphere has been ripped out of this historic Inn, in favor of a bar more suited to a holiday park entertainments venue, but I guess that's what's needed on busy weekends.

Room was lovey, bed comfortable and working telly, bathroom and shower was basic and not that warm however it wasn’t a issue at all, restaurant/bar is lovely, looks great and is a nice environment. Food was great! Even vegetarian options was good. Service was amazing, very friendly and attentive staff! Lovely stay!

Beautiful location, friendly helpful staff. Great food. Really old and authentic, just what we were looking for. Will definitely go again.

Love this place. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast is one of the best I've had. Had evening meal of steak and ale pie which was lovely. Very relaxed atmosphere. Only downside, the rooms need updating but are clean and comfortable, doesn't stop us wanting to return. Thank you

Thank you for a wonder roast beef Sunday lunch....cooked to perfection. Such a cosy welcoming place to eat at the end of a lovely afternoon....and thank you to the waitress who could share memories of George Michael music. X

main meal was nice but my pudding was off it smelt of cheese and i was sick in the toilets. still paid full price for the rest of my meal and drinks. at 2130 they put chairs on tables and we felt like we had to leave.

Lovely meal with excellent service. The Marton Arms is an iconic old building with super thick walls (a legacy of when it was built, 1679) and very atmospheric. Recently renovated without spoiling the feel of the place. Recommended by my brother and now I know why.
