Smashing pub. Great food & service. They even adapted a main meal to meet our dietary requirements. Dog friendly and customer friendly. If you want a traditional pub with a good atmosphere and good old fashioned can do attitude then I would recommend.

Had lunch here today. Chicken, ham and leek pie on a bed of mash, fresh greens and Chicken gravy. It was delicious. Packed with good quality meat. Probably the best pub meal I have had for a long time. Thank you to the chef .

Had a lovely lunch here with family. Dogs were welcome and the food and staff were excellent. Would highly recommend (unless you’re a miserable git that objects to a dogs tail wagging on the next table - fortunately they moved 😂). Will definitely return.

After a long day in the Lakes and stopping at a few places prior on our way home for dinner that were all fully booked we stopped here on the off chance. And we are so glad we did! We were a table of 6 at about 7:30pm on the Thursday of Easter weekend - so were very lucky to get seated. The staff were amazingly warm and friendly after a long day the food was generously portioned and absolutely delicious. (Especially the chunky home cooked chips!!!) Our server was absolutely lovely and was super friendly with the children and the landlord was brilliant too. I highly recommend a visit and will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

Absolutely amazing. Classic pub dishes at their best. Hands down, the best pie I've had in a very long time, I'd ever. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Great vibe, very friendly but relaxed. Wish I could transport this place to where live.

This was a chance find, and what a great find it was. Very cozy with welcoming feel. Dogs are allowed too which was a good thing as we had two with us. The staff were friendly and helpful and the home cooked food was delicious. We both had Chicken, ham hock and leek pie with chips, peas and gravy. The pie was full of flavour with tender and tasty meats and a light, crisp shortcrust pastry outer. Top marks!

A brilliant little pub. Really nice atmosphere and exactly how a village pub should be. We were lucky to visit during pie week and the food was amazing. Particularly the Scotch Pie and the peppered steak pie, the best meal we’ve had anywhere for a long time. Can’t recommend this place enough. Brilliant.

After having The Mason's recommend I am sorry to say we were disappointed and won't be returning. We had fish and chips at £14 each,on arrival it looked great but the batter on the fish not crispy and chips underneath greasy, didn't care for their mushy peas or tartar sauce either. To top it all slow service......sorry

Food was delicious. We shared the Yorkshire tapas between 3 of us as a starter - just the right amount after a busy day walking. My steak & ale pie for main course was also very good. Definitely recommend!

Visited The Masons Arm's today having not been for a long while.I ordered the Steak & Ale pie and the a Sunday roast + two deserts.I could not pick fault with anything we ordered even if i tried. The food was absolutely perfect in every way from beginning to end! Infact, the tastiest meal I've had in a long time, I didn't want the experience to end!The deserts were Chocolate Brownie which I can only describe as being made in Heaven and a Sticky Toffee pudding, also absolutely beautiful! All this was served up by very friendly staff, especially Becky.I will certainly look forward to my next visit!
