The Bay Horse in Craven

Lovely pub, lots of nooks & crannies for big or little groups to sit in & lots of treats for dogs too. We visited Tues.12 April. So quiet, but am guessing will be a whole lot busier in the Summer months. Fab food, (I couldn't squeeze in a pudd, but my hubby could), served by a lovely, friendly young lady (sorry didn't get her name) who worked hard, making sure everything was ok for everyone. Thank you. X

Had the gammon meal and very good it was too. No pineapple option but I was ok with 2 eggs. The chunky chips were great.

Nice. Could do with a better selection of dishes, especially for vegetarians. Is this only a Sunday menu and it improves on the other days? Otherwise , very pleasant.

We were basically the only people there on the Tuesday night and its take at least 20 minutes for anyone to come to our table to ask about drinks. Restaurant was empty but decided to put is by the front door so we were so cold. Food was overpriced for what you got. The cracking with the pork was inedible you couldn't even bite it with all your strength.

Amazing service and food. Staff were very attentive and the pub was lovely, spacious and had a cosy feel. It was also clean and tidy. We came here to celebrate birthdays and there were able to accept out large booking of 11+ people. I was able to book online no problems, I didn't get a confirmation email however when I called the lady confirmed it was booked. Free parking on site too and child/family. They had high chairs available for use. Would definitely come here again.

Although they had run out of vegetarian roasts, which was the only reason we chose the place, they recovered the situation nicely by merging various options from the limited menu. There's not much to choose from (Sunday Menu) but Claire, our server, was so helpful and friendly that we felt fully looked after. Dear Vintage Inns, please increase your range of vegetarian options! And please make sure that you employ more brilliant staff like Claire! She turned a disastrous evening into a complete success 🤓

Having just been cruising for a week in a narrowboat we wanted a minimum-effort meal for our last night together within easy distance of where were moored. The service was excellent - attentive, but unobtrusive. Thank you Kristina and Arleta, you were welcoming, friendly and efficient- great ambassadors for the pub. The food and drinks were equally good, absolutely nothing to complain about. When we return to the area guess where we would eat again... Keep up the standard...

Lovely Place, first time I've ever been and will surely come back ! Lovely setting, really traditional and cosy, and lovely Food and Beer.

The best meal I've had out since lockdown.I had the soup and Lasagne. Both were fantastic. Great portions and the food was pipping hot 😋 the service was excellent also. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. They've introduced a new app to order through and this was very effective with incredibly quick service to follow. The app is optional so you can order the traditional way also.I'll be going back on a regular basis!
