The Buck Inn is situated in Malham's village centre near the Yorkshire Dales National Park Visitor Centre and undoubtedly benefits from the footfall that comes with such local geological treasures as Malham Cove and Gordale Scar. I did not stay overnight at the pub but the menu offers great choice for hearty appetites that the Yorkshire Dales encourages.

A very welcome stop after a long walk. The food and service were spot on. Had the bangers and mash and those sausages were out of this world. Food was served quickly and staff were very welcoming. All in all a nice pub in a cracking location. Didn't stay in a room so cant comment but the rest of the bar was clean and well looked after.

I was staying at the campsite across the road and fancied a meal after a day out walking. The rump steak was one of the best I have tasted in a long time, cooked to perfection with nice chips, mushrooms and vine tomatoes. All washed down with a couple of nice pints. Perfect.

Didnt stay but called in for food and a drink today after a bit of walking round the local area. Good was fantastic, service was great. Even the dog got fussed. 100% recommended if you are over this way!

We have been a couple of times, never had any problems but yesterday the blonde waitress was REALLY RUDE.We waited more than 15 minutes while she was serving another costumer. When she finished we ordered four coffees, she rolled her eyes at us, turned around and started grumbling. We don't know if she was having a bad day or what happened to her but her actitud was disgusting and we won't be back. Furthermore, it took her 10 minutes(not lying) to prepare 4 coffees :/ and she was just attending us.

Great location. Rooms clean enough. Most of the staff (especially Trish) lovely. Breakfast not so good and in my opinion definitely not worth £10 and maybe should be optional

The pub is situated in the small village of Malham about a mile from Malham cove. We had a good night there, the room was comfortable and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a good choice of food for the evening meal. The surrounding countryside is magnificent. Also for those with pets the hotel is dog friendly.

Booked for new year, firstly can I say the staff here are working there absolute hearts out I mean we have been here 3 days they are pretty much here the whole stay with us ❤️, first night new years eve went down for dinner the starters where amazing the main of fish and chips was nearly inedible, (overcooked) it wasn't my main but the wife's and she will never ever complain & unfortunately won't let me on her behalf, they normally would have the fire going which at Xmas time is nice ambience but I guess as the really mild weather this was the reason they where off, breakfast both mornings is OK and filled a hole portion sizes difference on both days was peculiar but we guessed 2 different chefs, room for the price we had the Dog House room number 4, a very nice size the finish of the bathroom could have been alot better and the blind in the bedroom, well all the slates had gone, possibly broken recently, the tele only had 2 channels night on but when it was mentioned in the morning was repaired straight away, overall a nice chilled out stay massive room/bed food over all OK just let down by the main course ( which we didn't eat even the chips where inedible, would we stay again yes we would, but the next time we are in Malham is August and at Beck Hall just up the road. Thanks to the staff who again have been great (not sure how there keeping going) 💙💙💙💙

We didn’t stay but we visited the pud for food….Cannot recommend this place enough. We turned up drenched after a morning walking in the snow and rain, and were greeted with warmth in a lovely atmosphere by two friendly members of staff, one behind the bar and one the chef.I asked if the one vegan option on the menu was available (it was) and the chef explained he could make one of the other main meals vegan too, if we wanted. As a party of two, we ordered both the vegan main meals and shared. The chef went above and beyond for us and didn’t hesitate when offering us the further options. We had the tart and the hummus/avocado sandwich. Both had incredible flavour, came with great sides, and the salads!! A proper salad, with tasteful dressing and variety in comparison to the plain salads you usually get with a meal.We really felt looked after and ate well. The coffee was great too!! Thank you. I usually struggle with pub food in small places due to eating plant based, and find it quite limited, therefore always have emergency food in the car. However, would highly recommend this place and will revisit in the future due to the quality, service and tasty options that we had.

Food was OK.Asked for a highchair and was given one that strapped to the seat, which would have been fine, but looked like it hadn't been cleaned ever! Old food stuck to it, not what you want anytime but especially in these times, when cleanliness should be increased!Got the impression that they didn't care if they had your business or not.Won't be returning
