The chippy was very busy upon arrival, which is always promising. The haddock was delicious but the portions did not reflect the price paid. We were left a little underwhelmed.

Nice handy spot for lunch. Lots on the menu, lovely food and good portions. Across the road from the town car park so it is very accessible. Friendly staff and not too pricey.

I called yesterday for a treat for my son, I ordered 2 large fish and chips 2 small curry sauces and 2 cans of pop £25 something! The fish were above average but I wouldn’t describe them as large and the portion of chips were at best average in size and individually priced at £3.60. I only pay £8 for a 25kg bag of quality potatoes. As for taste they were ok but nothing special, needless to say I won’t be going back there, he won’t be getting another penny from me and I will put off anyone I can!

Very mediocre food, no better than any other chippy I've been to but happened to cost far more than any of them. Outrageous pricing for the sort of food on offer, a fairly small plate of fish and chips cost £10 and a tiny bowl of mushy peas costing £1.10. Again, the food was just about ok but nothing to write home about. Overall, very overpriced and would definitely not recommend to anyone.

Beautiful fish and chips. Not greasy and the batter on the fish really crisp and light. Chips very nice, and the teapot had plenty teabags in, unlike some places where tea can be weak. Service good and well spaced out and clean.

I LOVE this chippy, I don't eat fish but this is the only place I would eat it from. Large fish and a healthy helping of PROPER chips, finished off with a touch of salt and vinegar. I have to travel 8 miles for this treat, but believe me its well worth it. Keep up the great service and work people....see you soon. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great service and lovely fish and chips. Nice seating indoors. Portions are quite small at £10 a portion, when they arrived I thought we might have ordered the smalls but the bill said otherwise. We eat a lot of fish and chips in Tyne and wear so maybe we are spoilt. Next time we are this way for fish and chips I think we'll try the one on the market square

Had lovely haddock & chips mushy peas and not forgetting a nice pot of tea. I has to wait for minutes for a table due to the limit of customer due to Covid. But it was well worth the wait. I was served very quickly, as the fish is fry to order there is a wait but who wants a bit of fish that’s been sitting for a time. I look forward to my next visit to this restaurant when I am back in Settle

We love this fish and chip shop. The batter is so light and yummy to eat. Service very good and friendly. Salad was so fresh. Good sized potions. Very handy for takeout aswell as just across from the car park .
