The Hare and Hounds in Craven

Driving around, came across this lovely place. The 4 of us had a superb lunch. Friendly staff, very attentive and happy. Will go again, all fresh produce used, even grow their own herbs and use locally sourced food. Excellent

Wow what a find! Reluctant to tell you all about it in case we can't get a table next time. 🤭Food was delicious, service was great and atmosphere was quiet - no awful music.It was amazingly good.

Really nice atmosphere and aesthetic, staff were polite, food was cooked really perfectly, the porterhouse cut could have been a little thicker, but overall great experience.

Steak Fries ok - French Fries over cooked, no Garlic Bread so loads of very dry salad thrown at the plate!!Nice atmosphere, but then you don't eat that!

I passed by here with a friend en route home. It's years since I've eaten here but the menu looked good. We had an excellent glass of wine each, rose & sauvignon. The ambience was great & the sofa very comfy. I wish it was my local as it was so inviting.

Majority of the reviews for this pub/ restaurant are good however there seem to be a few who have had the same fate as us and were made to feel very unwelcome! When we arrived I got the distinct impression my accent was not welcome in this establishment! I wonder if the others who were made to feel unwelcome were also not English? My accent seemed to make the elderly lady behind the bar very unfriendly! Our English friends did not get the same reception but after how I was treated my husband refused to order food so we had our drinks and left. Really disappointing to experience such rudeness and hostility!

Very friendly staff. Nice food. Good atmosphere. Quite busy on a Wednesday lunch time so probably worth booking.

Outstanding. The food was amazing, staff were lovely friendly polite people. Clean well presented restaurant with a nice calm atmosphere. Hidden jem. Would highly recommend!

Went for a works Xmas lunch. Not too busy but starter was cold and pudding was just warm rather than piping hot. We did the British thing and just got on with it. However, I was told by a colleague it is usually pretty good here, hence choosing it. I will go again and hopefully give 5 stars as I do praise when deserved.
