I've just had a beautiful roast dinner at the railway. I had a mixed roast with pork and beef. The Sunday Roast came with beautiful mashed and roast potatoes, swede and carrot, fresh veg, a huge homemade Yorkshire pudding and delicious gravy. There was a generous portion of stuffing too.Customer service was fantastic, asked if I wanted any sauces etc and was brought them quickly. Very friendly staff and quick service.Would definitely recommend!

I have been here quite a few times in the last to years and I thought it was about time I let a few others know about this little gem.I have to admit I don't use it as a pub, more a restaurant. But judging by other people I have talked to it is a very popular pub where you can take a family without a worry of bad behaviour. The restaurant is not large but the service and the food are!!There have been a few changes in staff in the time I have been visiting but they have all been very helpful and polite.Menus are varied regularly but the are a few old favourites that are always there. ( my favourite dessert is the lemon posit) Also there is always a Specials board.Drinks are sensibly priced as it the food. They also have bead and breakfast accommodation. I have it on good authority that the rooms are lovely, thought I have only ever seen pictures of them, and the rates are very competitive.I can highly recommend the establishment and its lovely landladyThank yo

This place is lovely. Popped in without a reservation (on a recommendation) and fully expected to be turned away but they managed to fit us in their bar area. Before we even looked at the menu the smells wafting from the kitchen had us feeling excited for our food!It was table service and the staff were great. They were clearly very busy but seemed to be taking it all in their stride they really looked after us.The bar was stocked with local ales and the food was all homemade, both were delicious. I could have stayed here all night but we had to continue with our journey up north. It’s a gem of a pub and will definitely call in again when in the area.

Just had a lovely meal. Highly recommend both Pies. Just wish I had ordered the smaller portion so I could of tried the desserts. Very clean and great atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly and efficient xx

Been to The Railway a couple of times in recent years and the service received there was satisfactory. It can be a small pub and sometimes can be quite busy but my experience here was great, the food was tasty and delicious and the prices were fairly reasonable. Would recommend going here!

Really nice place! Great food and service. We showed up without a reservation and managed to get a table (I would advise booking a table as it is quite popular). The staff were very accommodating of our family (including an excited toddler). I'd recommend the steak and ale pie. Probably the best I've had. The staff were all lovely too We'll definitely come back next time we're in Skipton!

We went here for food as well as real ale. Highly rated for its meals. I had a lovely game pie while the boss had the belly pork. I washed it down with 2 pints of the locally brewed Dark Horse.

Nice clean room and bathroom. Nice friendly staff ' but could be better quality sausage ect for breakfast. we expected butchers products for 50 pounds per person per night .otherwise a nice quiet clean place to stay .the breakfast for us let it down quality wise.

Called here on the off chance of a table after hospital visits and on our way back to morecambe. Despite it being a busy Friday night they accommodated us in the bar. Very friendly and helpful staff (young tall lad!). Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Would definitely visit again and hopefully have time and room for dessert! Thank you.
