Stoped here for a couple of drinks after climbing the nearby peak. Sat in the wonderful bear garbed which had loads of benches all with umbrellas to provide some shade. The drinks were great and me the waiter even brought our plates of chips out too us and made sure we had all the sauce’s we needed. Great experience with a great view of the viaduct!

Stopped on the car park in our camper van, it’s free and there is a small toilet with a sink which is really clean and warm, you are given the lock code when you book in.The staff in the pub are all very friendly and helpful and do what ever they can to try and accommodate you. The food is probably the best pub grub we’ve had anywhere, it’s simple hearty food well cooked, we’ve had the fish and chips 3 times now!!We will definitely be back soon.

Really wanted to give them a glowing 5* review. The pub is original including a lit open fire. Menu was good and well priced. The soup we had was fantastic, one of the best soups I've had. What lost a * was the time it took to serve 2 soups, 30 minutes. Turned out the kitchen printer wasn't printing orders but I'd have hoped someone would have noticed the orders being taken (this was 1230) and lack of people eating. Once notified, our soups appeared quickly.

Staff so welcoming and helpful. We needed an early start as we were walking to Dent Station. Staff provided a full cooked breakfast 30 minutes before official start to the day. Room very comfortable meals in the evening were well cooked and reasonably priced and beers well kept. The hotel is family run and they deserve to succeed - the staff super friendly.

Stayed in the car park overnight, completely free. Had a lovely ploughman's lunch and a few drinks. Very busy with walkers and very dog friendly. Location is stunning 👌

Very friendly welcome, roaring fire, and good selection of drinks. Very tasty and very big pie. A great place to relax at the end of a long walk in the Dales.

OK we only dropped in for a quick pint but this is a lovely old railway public house. Beautiful inside, especially the snug round the open fire. We arrived mid-gale so appreciated the warm welcome from fire and staff. Good selection of ales and the food looked pretty good too. Check out the loo with a view.....but maybe not for too long eh! Good place to view the Ribblehead Viaduct. Ample parking , actually in Carnforth on the B6255. I should think if there is ever a sunny day it would be glorious.

A big thank you to the staff here over the weekend whilst they put up with our large, rowdy group whilst waiting for our train to arrive. I particularly like the air that they have a duty, being so secluded, to assist people in difficulties. Advice on train times, free WiFi and phone use to people stuck out there.

It appears to have changed hands and was much improved since our last visit! Quality and choice of beer/drinks was excellent and food very good too, very generous portions and good value for money. If you're looking for a motorhome/campers stopover this is great as there are a couple of portaloos available and you are very much welcomed. Even if their car park is full there is plenty of space on the roads nearby with convenient parking just off the road. Great for a quick snack, meal or just a drink and a welcoming atmosphere.

What. A. Place! From the minute we arrived we were made very welcome. We felt part of furniture almost immediately which is very fitting because the furniture was very comfortable in front of a very warm open fire. My wife and I were planning an epic walk however that didn't quite pan out, we were just too cosy and the wine too good.We stayed in our campervan on the car park overnight, no charge for this. The proper etiquette being this is acceptable providing you dine at the pub. The car park has port-a-loo's and water. We had our evening meal and a few drinks whilst our dog snoozed by the fire. The following morning we had a delicious breakfast from the pub then headed up the hill. As I mentioned, we had planned a huge walk but the further we drifted away from the Inn to more we wanted to head back. Once back at the Inn, in front of the fire of course, we ordered lunch. Again, exceptional food. The food, the drinks, the staff, the atmosphere, the location, the customers, everything was 10/10Oh and resident dog, Ribble, is my new best friend. What a beauty. Thanks to everyone, we'll be back 100%.Magic weekend. 👍
