The Tempest Arms Restaurant in Craven

Disappointing experience. Having made a reservation well in advance, we were just about to arrive at the pub, and I noticed I had received an email thanking me for cancelling the reservation which I had not done. I called the pub to query this and was told it was an error on their part. When we arrived we were taken to a very poor table in the bar area where no-one else was eating. We didn't feel at ball comfortable, so, we decided to leave.

Really enjoyed our visit yesterday, we think the menu is really well priced. Usually now in most places you're looking at £17/£18 for your main course but we really liked how your menu was priced appropriately with dishes like lamb rump and fish in this price bracket as you would expect but cheaper dishes to make such as a bangers and mash, lasagne and the dahl were more like £12/£13 which makes sense and is good value. The service was great, the food was lovely and piping hot too! We'd not visited in a little while but will definitely be back soon.

A lovely hotel. We took dogs with us and the dog friendly rooms were perfect. The dogs were greeted at reception with a little bag of treats each and there was cake for us! Breakfast was included. We ate in the bar with the dogs in the evenings too. The bar has a great atmosphere and is obviously popular with locals as well as visitors. The food was excellent. We are vegetarians, with one also gluten free, and it was easy to order as the menu is well marked and staff were very accommodating . There is a large car park. The setting is lovely and the staff in every area of the hotel were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend if you are looking for a truly dog-friendly stay - or even if you just want a great place to stay or eat.

Visited the Tempest Arms for Sunday lunch . We booked online. On arrival staff were very friendly, the table was ready. Staff came to offer drinks, and brought a menu as soon as we were seated.The food quality and presentation was excellent. This is our second visit, and would highly recommend it.

Very pleasant without being exceptional. Good value for money, beer was pretty good & tasty, as was food. Staff nice, helpful and friendly. Perhaps sounds unfair not to give 5 stars, but it seems a bit like a brewery chain pub, so just needs that bit of wow factor to make it stand out.

Loved our stay at Tempest Arms. The room was amazingly comfortable with plenty of space and all the essentials including fridge, ironing board, hair dryer, tea/coffee with tasty biscuits! Staff were so friendly and accomodating. The food served in the dining area was delicious! Anyone travelling here should definitely stay at the Tempest Arms. Highly recommended.

We have been many times to the Tempest arms ,and have always had given of service and quality food in a proper pub with a roaring fire and good ales. The team are quick to respond to questions ahead of booking and are very attentive on the day. Our group of 10 had a very enjoyable meal and get together in Jan 2022.

Excellent 2 night break, area is great for walking and the Tempest Arms the perfect place to relax after a day out. Great beer and food, extremely friendly and professional service. Great traditional pub atmosphere with roaring fire 🔥 😊.

Love this place. Fantastic food in a classic country pub setting with fantastic service and a lovey set of rooms. Would have been 5* but the bed wasn’t very comfy sadly, otherwise absolutely perfect.

Excellent menu. Great staff - very friendly. Service is excellent.Excellent venue. Have dined here several times over the years and always been delighted with everything. I've recommended it to family and friends and they continue to dine here.Definitely a place to relax and enjoy excellent food.
