Lovely staff, lovely food, even the dog was made welcome with a bowl of water and his own biscuit on a plate! Would definitely recommend.

Stopped in for a pint. A less than welcoming "we are full for dinner so check before you sit anywhere" greeting, followed by a 3 minute wait for a drink whilst one lady made a coffee for the one other patron, whilst two other younger bar staff just stood around ignoring me. Would have stayed for another point and some food, but when we asked if we could get the bread, olives and oil starter we were abruptly told "we can't serve food we are fully booked". Apparently cutting up some bread was a request the chef couldn't handle at 5pm when no one else was yet eating. AVOID.

Great Sunday roast at a good price. Very dog friendly, plate of dog biscuits and own bowl of water on arrival.

·

Lovely warm rustic pub with good food. Just lacking a nice fish dish for me. Only offering fish and chips.

·

A lovely pub/hotel with real fires, good selection of beers, wines and spirits and great food.

Lovely pub with excellent food. Very dog friendly, ours loved the special dish of treats delivered to the table and ample water. The Sunday roast beef was fantastic and the wood burners made for a cosy atmosphere. Will defo be back.

Nice, but some improvement required. No conditioner in the room. A fly in one of the pictures in the room. No food served after 5pm on a Tuesday so we had to eat elsewhere and pub was closed after 5pm - & that wasn’t specified until after we booked in the pre-arrival email (too late by that point) - otherwise I’d have booked somewhere else, where we could have had a meal & drink. Got a phone call to say I should have been at the hotel at 9pm when the booking said 10pm (this is because we had to find somewhere else to eat!). A bit disappointed but could have been really good.

Excellent food and service (even a water bowl and biscuits on a plate for our dog!). Loved the dominoes on the tables to play with, saw lots of people putting their phones away and enjoying a game...maybe more places should try this!

A brilliant little pub and hotel. The welcome was wonderful, the staff very friendly and helpful. They absolutely spoilt the dog rotten, at dinner, at breakfast and her treats in the room. Can't recommend highly enough.

one of the best lunches we have had this year - great food, great wines, efficient, courteous, attentive service, friendliness of everyone including the managers who, on a rainy day, managed to make everyone feel very welcome. Please don't change the wines, they are a massive step up from others in the area and they partner the food really well
