Barley twist in Doncaster

Went for a meal Saturday evening, waited 20 mins for drinks , took meal order without writing down , 30 mins later asked where food was , waitress said there was a wait on meals which wadnt told about it. Meal came 3 out of 4 was ok the pie meal was nowhere value for money . We were offered a free drink. Several guests complained about meal wait they were offered free drinks. Obviously they needed more staff for bank holiday weekend .

Our booking for 13 people at a restaurant was cancelled due to staffing issues with only 2 days notice, too late to book anywhere else. Some of the 13 were staying at the Premier Inn and the staff were incredibly accommodating for all 13 slightly(?!) drunk people. We were all in good spirits and Nikola in particular dealt with us very professionally. The service was efficient and the meals hit the spot. Those of the group that had breakfast the next day were equally satisfied with the spread on offer. We will definitely revisit the restaurant.

Unfortunately the staff let this luncheon down, poor service .. I cannot express how important customer service is especially when you are offering food/services at this level in this market as there are so many companies at this price point that you can't afford to be blasé comments such as 'you get the drink in the glass it's served in' is just uncalled for Rude, and a general can't be bothered or don't care attitude! Hospitality look it up guys cos you failed on this day 😳🤣

Services was good wrong meal was brought out fir my son so he had to wait for his food when it came because it was rushed the chicken was very greasy.I had the roast beef dinner could of done with veg being warmer as was only just warm. The beef was very tough I couldn't eat it all because of this. I would have told someone but it seemed like all staff had dissapereared once we were served.I know it was mother's day but to be honest it wasn't busy

I’ve stayed in the premier in for 4 night and used the Barley Twist for my breakfast and dinner every day during my stay.The team are fantastic! They all work so hard, they’re extremely polite and friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them!After my first evening I explained I needed gluten free, I never needed to let them know again, as soon as they saw me the allergen booklet was already in their hand, they always double checked what I’d ordered to make sure it was safe for me. If I needed to remove something to make it safe they offered something else in place of it.The food was delicious and was served in a timely manner.They are all very covid aware, the tables are set with cutlery however they remove it when you order and replace it with clean safe cutlery every time.The whole team have made my visit very pleasurable. Thank you!

We went for breakfast. Not the greatest we have had.We watched the table staff cleaning tables when customers had left. If the cutlery was unused they just wiped around them.They should have been removed and a clean set put out.Especially after everything we have all been through with covid.

Very nice meal with 2 pleasant young ladies serving. Good fresh tasting food and we'll no doubt visit again.

Service was excellent, staff were polite and very helpful. The food was edible but unfortunately nothing to shout about. We had pre ordered so was expecting better.
