Starter was a ripoff 4 mushrooms in batter with very little garlic half a bag of lettuce 1 cherry tomatoe cut in half 9 pound eachI had chicken curry meat was nice but no flavour and no spice it tasted of butter not niceWife had large fish and chips chips were hard and tasted old the people on the next table left all there chips and our fish was greasy and over cooked

Wow why haven't I ever been to this place before. The food was outstanding, the staff were absolutely amazing and all in all this place will now become my new guilty pleasure. Highly recommend

Birthday meal with family. Wasnt busy as it was a school night. Nice friendly welcome. Enough time to order drinks and food. Specials and off menu explained but not pushed.Food was fab, all three courses. Well priced. Excellent service from everyone

Best fish and chips around! First class service and would recommend to anyone! Went with a table of 6 all having three courses, service was absolutely top draw and every meal was top quality. Felt very welcomed and the chef personally came and made sure all our meals were okay! Definitely will be going again!

I’ve been here twice, once before the pandemic and yesterday, 24.07.2021, what a difference in quality.Before the pandemic the food was fantastic, we had the same ‘Black Bull famous Cod’ that I had yesterday, the fish was was huge and solid and “meaty”But yesterday it was big but flat, it could have been a piece of flat fish for all we know and so tasteless.My wife sent hers back after 2 bites and I tried to persevere but when I’d bathed in salt and vinegar to try to give it some taste, I gave up, sending half of it to the binThis night was our wedding anniversary and because we’d had such a lovely meal there previously I couldn’t wait for the place to open again so we could celebrate with another lovely meal, how wrong I was !!On the other hand the staff were very accommodating and attentiveHowever I won’t be visiting again

Great service, very good food, beautiful place to visit

Food and service here was very good. The menu had a good selection of classic dishes (Chicken Kiev, Lasagna, steak, chicken curry) plus a good selection of seafood dishes. All the food was cooked excellently, and portions were large. Puddings were also excellent.
