Harry's Fish Bar and Restaurant in Doncaster

I ordered a kids meal and 2 extra kids fish. I paid using my card. I am 71. I drove short distance home and put my meal on plate and tried to eat it. The chips were almost cold, the fish nor chips had any moisture and were very dry. I always use Harrys never again. I threw the rest in the bin and within a few minutes my stomach regurgitated what I had eaten. I drove back, complained was told they could do nothing I had to complain to their fb page. I did and was basically called a liar. Then they blocked me. I am keeping the complaint and their reply and will happily show to anyone who would like to see it. I now have that awful heavy feeling in my stomach. The only thing I ate today was toast for breakfast and I didnt feel unwell after that this morning. Before leaving this review I gave Harrys a chance to put things right, they responded by basically saying my complaint wasn't true.they didn't ask for a receipt, I had paid by card and the staff member remembered serving me.

We had the smaller plate of fish/chips/mushy peas, with bread/butter and a cup of tea included. It was a lovely meal, generous portions and good value, the staff were very nice and pleasant, will be going again 😀

Go regularly and don't have fish from anywhere else. Always nice and quiet when we go and amazing staff

Sadly not as good as before. Prawn cocktail poor, even charged 20 p per small tub of sauce. Fish average, will not be returning any time soon.

Delicious food, fantastic service, reasonable opening hours. Spacious, free parking, cosy! Prices to suit all budgets.

Excellent fish and service. The chips I got were a bit cold and must have been out a while but still OK. I have visited lots of times and no complaints previously

Disappointed that there were 4 of us, 3 over pensionable age and one who isn't. She doesn't eat large portions so ordered a pension meal but they wouldn't oblige!!We visit regularly between 4 - 6 of us, I travel from Rotherham to meet my ex work mates.

They might be cheap to employ but you need to train your staff not to over charge and try and rip customer off.1st attempt £23 plus2nd attempt £17 plusThe actual bill should have been £15 plus.The staff member didn't have a clue what she was doing.
