Been here a few times and the food has never disappointed us. The menu is excellent so much to chose from. Highly recommended

We went for a carvery, was nice, good choice of meat. Limited choice of veg in my opinion but still nice none the less, the accommodated for us having 2 babies with us, it meant both babies had to sit at the end of the table but overall was a good experience, nice food, nice clean place to visit. Will go again.

Although it was really busy, lots of reserved tables. A lovely waitress got us a table for 3. We waited 45mins for food but it was very busy. Food was delicious and everyone was friendly. And not as expensive as we thought it would be 🙂

Pastures has always been a reliable venue, not cheap but consistently good. Sadly going downmarket. No wine list no pricelist for drinks and whilst food delivered to the table have to queue cafeteria style to order. Restaurant prices at cafeteria standard. That said the food was good and well presented.

I have always liked this place and I will continue to go back. it's your nice typical pub grub, nice atmosphere, play area for the kids, does a great Carvery and fantastic choice on the kids menu. can be a bit rowdy but all in all a great place to dine

I was unsure at first as I was looking for some simple home cooking for a change and didn't fancy a Chinese or an Indian plus I'm vegetarian so that was limiting my options. I'd just decided to put a couple of "sides" together when I realised I'd missed a page and there was a cauliflower and leek pie with chunky chips (and they were chunky and crispy and fluffy on the inside) with veg and vegetarian gravy. We had to wait a while wasn't watching the clock but on eating the pie, it tasted fresh and not microwaved 👍, so I felt I had waited cooking pie time which is fine by me . A really tasty meal in fact I left a bit because I was stuffed. £10 and change. For dessert I had Raspberry (or strawberry, I can't remember) Eton Mess. It was DELICIOUS £4.75 and well worth it.A large Pepsi was £3.30 I don't go out for lunch very often so I dont know if this is expensive or not, but i was really happy and didn't feel robbed. The staff were VERY friendly, helpful and seemed eager to please. It definitely felt like the place where the motto is "Customer is King"Would recommend!!! Double thumbs up 👍👍

As a hotel guest this is the only place available to eat in on a Sunday night so allow for time, plastic cutlery ( if given from the lodge ) inaccurate information and some staff that are there just to look good. When I went in the Carvery lights had been turned off and they where just taking the items off. As I wanted to be quick I asked if they could plate me some items up from the carvery for speed and convenience with which I was told carvery is finished. I then asked what can I get that is quick and easy to take back to the hotel please. The lad taking my order looked confused and shouted to the other waiteddown the bar, “what’s quick and easy to go?? (Good to see product knowledge I thought) Cajun chicken was the reply. So my reply was okay can I have the chicken with some chips. He then asked for my table number !! After every thing I had just been through !!! I eventually sat down and waited for my order on the plastic plates to turn up. When it did turn up half of it was missing, however thanks to the quick thinking of a bar staff she remedied the solution (I didn’t get your name but thank you for your help it was really appreciated)I then walked back across the frozen car park to my room with the food.I’m not sure what many people opinions are but when you pay £14 you expect to get something half edible without walking across a frozen car park and ordering your food with a member of staff who clearly doesn’t want to be there. Every part of the order he either didn’t know, got wrong or had to get someone else to do it for him. Whilst I imagine this restaurant is used to feeding the masses roast meals on the cheap knowledge of individual meals and dishes have a lot to be desired and as this is attached to the hotel I imagine this is what’s stopping the hotel getting its extra 4/5 Star .

Went here today and ordered a meal, the second time in 2 weeks, the first time the steak tasted as if it had been frozen, this time we ordered the steak and ale pie, was okay however the beef is very chewy. Katsu curry was nice however the rice wasn’t the best. Kids meals are good portions and great choice. We then went to the play area which is the main reason we travel from doncaster to this place as it’s a decent play area however I’ve vouch two crunches for the kids to go home with as I’ve opened them In the car they are white. Not what you expect when you pay over the odds for the chocolate.

We booked to stay here after receiving a Hotel Voucher as a gift. We weren't expecting much but when we got here we were pleasantly suprised. The setting is vert pretty. Towards the rear of the car park there is access to the river where you can take a stroll. Across the other side of the car park is the restaurant and pub. We didn't eat here so I cannot comment on the food but we did have a drink and sit outside. As it's open to those outside of the Hotel it was quite busy but we still got served in a timely manner. The Hotel itself albeit quite old fashion compared to some was clean and had all the basics, a TV of a reasonable size and a walk in shower. This Hotel is about 20 mins from Meadowhall and 45 mins from York. Ideal for us. You also get use of the local swimming and leisure facilities in the sports centre around the corner.
