Rothwells in Doncaster

We have been coming to Rothwells in Doncaster Market for over 50 years and we visited again yesterday 13 March. We had a large haddock, small chips and a pot of tea and I can honestly say I have had the most beautiful meal. Whether it's because of the pandemic etc. But it was delicious thank you once again Rothwells. Best fish and chips anywhere in Yorkshire

Great food fish teased great ordered large cod and chips so disappointed with the number of chips on small plate considering price paid. Would of been a 5 star won't be going back as value for money is as important as taste.

Amazing battered sausages! Love Rothwells but my only disappointment is the amount of chips that you get in a tray. Not enough!! Very friendly and polite staff and well thought out covid measures.

Best fish and chips in the Doncaster town centre. With a sit in restaurant and fast takeaway service they are a recommended visit in the Doncaster Market.

Very nice food, although a bit pricey. Staff very attentive, was very quiet when we went due to restrictions, guess gets busy in ( normal times).

Have bought food from Rothwell almost once a week for over forty years.Have always enjoyed Top Quality fish chips &peas. And have been the first to recommend.Sadly today went inside for a change.And was confronted with a dirty cup for my drink with my meal.When I brought this to the attention of a male member of staff I Received a dirty look as though nothing was wrong.Had I been alone I would have walked out.For future on my visits to Doncaster I shall eat elsewhere. Shame. Customer care has left what was my favourite chippy.

Came up from great Yarmouth with my grandma and Grandad went on Google and found the best fish and chip shop in Doncaster I had haddock and chips and plenty of cups of tea fantastic service fantastic staff. I would highly recommend anybody to go here

I use this fish restaurant every time over a good many years.Im always very happy with the menu and the staff are all ways frendly

I had lunch in the restaurant today and i was extremely disappointed to find that two members of staff were arguing near the disabled toilet, which is a main walkway to the seating area. One of the staff members appeared to be a superviser or manager and she was showing the waitress up in front of customers. I for one do not expect to be greeted by this type of behaviour in a restaurant where i choose to have my lunch. I am a regular customer and i have observed several arguments between staff members in the past. This is not the way to be running a business. I WILL NOT BE REVISITING IN THE FUTURE!!
