"The Bay Horse Inn is situated on the A18, at the heart of the village of Hatfield, near Doncaster in South Yorkshire, close to the historic Parish Church of St. Lawrence. It's a popular venue with both locals and visitors alike. We have all the things a traditional English pub should have, friendly welcoming staff, a good range of drinks, both alcoholic and non alcoholic and we serve delicious home made food everyday of the week, including our special Sunday Lunch menu. Why not give us a call to reserve a table. Our new function room is open and available to hire with private bar. Our Church View outside dining area and beer garden is perfect area for those bringing well behaved dogs (please check with staff)."

The wait for the food was well worth it. Home cooked, piping hot and perfect. The woman behind the bar worked single handed, with a friendlinesd and efficiency that was amazing. She worked so hard. Lovely lunch with lovely friends.

Food and waiting time was ridiculous! 2 h waiting the food. We found that it was a bad day for the kitchen. The owner contacted us, explained the situation and apologised. I will believe it was a bad day and we had bad luck, but we have to understand that everybody has a bad day.

The food was great the room was dressed perfectly I cannot thank you and your staff enough. If your thinking of using the function room I recommend it 100%Thank you 🙂

Just want to say thank you for a lovely home cooked meal, I've lived around here and for 19 years and never visited the bay horse. Gorgeous fresh steak pie, chips and veg that you can tell its not been chucked in a pan to warm up. You just don't get these kind of meals anymore! Definitely making this our local 😋

We had lunch here today. Everything was spot on, food was amazing. Our apple crumble was baked to order and was out of this world. We left with very full, happy tummies. We will be back to try all the other delicious dishes on the menu. Thank you!
