The Bay Horse Inn in Doncaster

Absolutely terrible. Paid £80 for 4 meals to be delivered yes you read that right 80 pounds. When it got here, I was heavily disappointed. I ordered sausage, mash and Yorkshire pudding with onion gravy. The mash was severely lumpy with no flavour. There was a tiny drizzle of gravy which was watery and only a tiny portion of the mash was covered. The sausages were really cheap and pink in the middle. No flavour at all. The Yorkshire pudding was burnt and hard to eat with absolutely no gravy over it at all. We also ordered pudding. The brownie was bitesize. The two rhubarb crumbles were like watery vomit. The cookie dough was burnt. Absolutely terrible for 80 pounds! The picture attached is the apple crumble!

It was OK portion size a bit small asked for two Adults looked like children's that came.My eldest of 12 polished his of no problem. If the share dish of veg had been two individual dishes of veg for each meal may well have been enough. Also the free HAIR that came with the peas wasn't going to fill me up. Won't rush back in a hurry be going to Green tree Stone House instead.better value for the money

The wait for the food was well worth it. Home cooked, piping hot and perfect.The woman behind the bar worked single handed, with a friendlinesd and efficiency that was amazing. She worked so hard. Lovely lunch with lovely friends.

Been out to celebrate my diploma 3 passing first time in bay horse friendly staff the meals was outstanding when we got them we will be back next Thursday...we'll done bay horse staff keep up the good work ..

Booked in for tea Thursday night and was not disappointed the food was good staff were friendly and attentive all in all nothing not to like about it thank you

The food was great the room was dressed perfectly I cannot thank you and your staff enough. If your thinking of using the function room I recommend it 100%Thank you 🙂

Food and waiting time was ridiculous! 2 h waiting the food. We found that it was a bad day for the kitchen. The owner contacted us, explained the situation and apologised. I will believe it was a bad day and we had bad luck, but we have to understand that everybody has a bad day.

Just want to say thank you for a lovely home cooked meal, I've lived around here and for 19 years and never visited the bay horse. Gorgeous fresh steak pie, chips and veg that you can tell its not been chucked in a pan to warm up. You just don't get these kind of meals anymore! Definitely making this our local 😋
