Good menu choice, cooked well and presented nicely. Large portions very good value we had gammon very large piece and plenty of accompaniments. Very friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. Will be returning and would definitely recommend for couples or families very spacious venue.

The place is very pleasing to the eye from the outside, and to be fair, neatly decorated on the inside. The place was very very noisy, difficult to even talk at first! We had booked for 6:45pm and when we tried to order food, there was very little left on the menu! We struggled to find anything left to eat? What food that did arrive was "not very appetising" is the best way to describe it? Not a place I'll visit again!

Dog friendly in the front bar area (bring your own bed if you're fancy 😁) and possible to eat in there too.

Visited The Chase tonight for my dad’s 80th birthday. There was thirteen of us in total and I could not fault anything. The staff set out a table with tablecloth, candles and Happy Birthday banners, the service was excellent, and to say how many meals were being made was in good time and all very hot. The food as usual was beautiful and the total bill was pleasantly surprising. Thank you to everybody.

We’ve just had rump steak & hunters chicken. Best ever & completely empty plates. They were superb & we’re looking forward to dining here more often!

Bit of a mix up with the food order but manager came and spoke to us gave us all in the group a complimentary drink and when the food came out it was really nice so overall a good experience.

Can't believe we've only just discovered this place! Passed it loads of times not realising how good it is. Nice environment, pleasant staff but best of all is the food which is great! Lots of it, very tasty and won't break the bank. Really good menu for a gastro pub. Also they are dog friendly so our pooches can go out to dinner with us. And round the corner it appears they have Sky Sports. Something for everyone.

We used to visit here quite regularly as staff were always friendly and attentive and the food always good. Visited twice recently - late October and around Christmas. Both times were so disappointing. When we visited in October my daughter noticed a lot of glass around the play area, reported it to the staff who ignored it and didn't do anything until the pile of glass had been picked up by some older children and brought to the bar area. Second time around Christmas booked around 3 weeks in advance for festive afternoon tea. The booking was a mess in itself and paying the deposit took 15 minutes. When we arrived on the day everything was delayed - drinks pre-ordered had to be asked for, the actual meal had to be asked for, then no plates arrived, then no cutlery, paying for the meal took 15 minutes again and 4 members of staff. The other reserved tables were dressed up for Christmas apart from ours, which would have been nice as we were catching up with family members. The actual afternoon tea was beautiful and the chef is lovely but sadly the rest of the organisation lets it down. If you are wanting a stress free meal don't bother.

Very friendly staff, good inexpensive food

Absolutely the best meal my family have had for as long as I can remember. The best service! Welcoming and lovely lady ensured my elderly grandparents were taken care of. Quick and efficient service. The food was amazing, the steak and lamb was out of this world and presented with love. Beautiful desserts and to top it off such good value for money. My daughter loved the kids meal.... and for £3.99! This will be our new favourite and will visit everytime we come up north. Thank you and cannot fault. Above and beyond the best place by far.
