Is nice place i cant drink end eat is chip ,i like this place ,in outside has the terrace is beautiful when it is sunny, relax

Nice atmosphere but the barman seemed to be out of it and despite it being quiet had to repeat myself a few times. Did wonder if I was somehow speaking another language

This was a pleasant pub to stop off for a drink at before catching a train, where the bar is well-presented and I was served by lovely, patient staff there! The lights and design inside are glorious, accompanying me appropriately as I sat at a comfortable striped seat. A placemat made for a neat addition at my round table, one that had been cleanliness fully maintained in line with the pub area as a whole!

Left a lot to be desired. Hand pulled beers were running out one at a time. Food was limited although in all fairness we were given a free desert of our choice as compensation.

Very good breakfast menu also fast efficiently brought to your table, could do with two or more coffee machines also space to get past when you serve yourself as disabled &senior customer uses might 5ake extra time .

Gutted we had just missed breakfast but dinner was nice . Fish chip n garden peas . Plenty for a bargain price. Nice atmosphere. We went in with young people n one verbally upset . Everyone was absolutely lovely n young lady soon settled n enjoyed her lunch. Staff were amazing n couldnt do enough for us . Customers praised us . Really thoughtful n very well appreciated . Deffo return . Xx

Very spacious inside, the food and drinks are cheap & good value for money. The quality of the food is good & the pub adheres and executes the policy of the food arriving in under 10 minutes. What more can you ask for?

This was my first visit to The Gate House. I’m staying at a hotel close by, but was decidedly underwhelmedHaving asked if there was a Wetherspoon’s, I was delighted when they said yes.The Gate House is a bright and welcoming establishment, with clean tables, brilliant staff and very decent food.My large mixed grill, with a soft drink, cost me £10.15 and was worth every penny! The meat was cooked to perfection for me.Staff are very welcoming and friendly, and I realise I’m far from the “London” attitude which can be less than welcoming at times.I might only be here for the weekend, but I see a Saturday evening meal and breakfast on Sunday, the order of the day.I’ll be back here for sure, whenever I’m in Doncaster.A big shout out to the team, who deserve high praise!!

The food was decent.24th September 2020 UpdateNow there's a queuing system at the entrance. You need to wait 2m apart. there's a desk where they take your name and number. The back is for food and the front for drinking only. Find yourself a free table. You can only order using their app as it's table service only.Covid reviewThere's had sanitiser on the way in. there's a form to fill in if you want to. At the bar there are spots on the floor to show you where to queue. i was in the wrong place and one of the staff helpfully pointed me to the right place :-) You queue at the till and order there (or use their app). They prefer contactless but you can still use cash. I couldn't see any other patrons wearing a mask other than myself. There are only screens between tables at the back and that's where i sat.
