Incredible food matched only by the service! Our first time visiting but no doubt will become a regular. Even provided some BBQ sauce for our BBQ obsessed 11 year old (jury’s still out whether it should be a sin with a Sunday lunch!). The best pork we’ve all had in forever! Thanks to all

Lovely food, amazing scenery, live music. Fuming, I haven't found this place before. Very enjoyable last minute pick for a Sunday Carvery. Best decision I've made in a while and feels like a million miles away from home. You must visit here.

Enjoyed a lovely afternoon up at the The Hayfield Bar. The Carvery was delicious can’t wait to visit again.

We have had carverys here on numerous occassions and they were superb. On our last visit we found it was under new management. We stayed for our carvery but by heck, never will we frequent that place again for a carvery! The gammon was genuinely undercooked, the mash was out of a packet by the taste of it and the veg was quite chewy. Sad really as we love that place. Sorry hayfield lodge but you just scrape a single star from us.👎

I’d just like to state what a fantastic Sunday lunch I’ve just had at the Hayfield Lodge when I was served at the carvery I was offered two meats out of the three that was on offer which was Beef Pork and baked ham I was told to help myself to all the rest on offer which I assure you I don’t need telling twice I loved the buttery smooth mash and crispy roasties and the veg was really beautiful and the stuffing balls are lovely not forgetting what amazing gravy you make . All in all the five of us had an amazing Sunday lunch thank you we will back as often as work allows.Ps I must admit to falling asleep on the settee when I got home lol lol 😴😴😴

We booked 5 days on their caravan site looking forward to using the restaurant for meals but couldn't use it unless we went for breakfast. We were told when we booked our visit that they had a wedding on the Friday so wouldn't be able to use the restaurant then. Fair enough. But what they didn't say was they had it booked throughout our stay for different functions each night. Very disappointed. Will not be going back.

We were stopping on site and looked forward to trying the facilities but there wasn’t space allocated for locals or those on site with functions booked each night. The menu looked good but we never got the opportunity to check the quality. Don’t intend on returning to this venue.

Lovely pub on the site of the fishing lake. Very friendly staff. We didn’t eat just had coffees and hot chocolate. The lady who served us immediately brought colouring over for our lite boy and gave him a kinder egg from Easter.
