Great and cheap meal. Really recommend this place. The staff were lovely. Definitely will call again.

Very good for a quick meal. We popped in and was accommodated quickly. The only downside is that you can miss this wonderful pub as its just off a country road.

·

Very, very busy. Most customers not wearing masks moving around inside n not stopping in own groups. Children running around all over place. Food ok, had carvery, meat nice but veg very watery n tasteless. Been before and was lovely so very disappointed this time. Place also very tired looking and requires some updating and redecorating and better standards of covid hygiene!

Had a very nice meal I went for the char-grill chicken burger 🍔 I am not so keen on char it was strong tasting, next time will try something else, wife had a curry and was very nice. Will be back soon.

Very nice food. Excellent carvery with choice of pie or two meats. Not busy just walked in.

Our starter came at the same time as our main meal, but only one, we ordered two, but only got charged for one. Mediocre food and the smallest table in the place. Choice of desserts was very poor, disappointing experience, so will not be coming back.

Visited Marr Lodge to meet friends for some lunch. It was quiet when we arrived but became quite busy before we left. We opted for the carvery and were served almost immediately. Standard fayre was on offer, although tasty and hot. We did attempt to reserve a table on line ahead of the visit but this option was not available. I did notice several tables were already reserved when we arrived which I thought odd. We were also instructed to wear face coverings whilst moving around which we and all the other customers did too. However I also thought it odd that none of the staff were wearing masks like we had been instructed to. If you are looking for standard pub grub, then this place is for you. It's not high end dining. However, all the staff were polite and courteous.

Lovely place that's always clean and tidy and the food is always amazing. The staff are sooo friendly and the lady who runs it is sooooo thorough! You can tell she runs a really tight ship but by being the way she is it makes everything run like clockwork!! I like that when she's got a minute she will come and talk too. It's a nice little personal touch. I'd highly recommend

Lovely pub and carvery. Only there for a couple of hours for the carvery but really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Would recommend. The carvery has 3 portion sizes, I had the largest and was comfortably full without a dessert, the regular was more than enough for my partner and her daughter who also didn't feel the need for a dessert. Plenty of drinks selection.

poor quality and staff were no where to be found once they took payment and dumped food at table. starter has more chillies than anything told this would share 3 people! and as for carvery the yorkshire puds were so hard they must have been sat under heater for hours and the port was a horrible colour. needless to say meal was left
