Prawn cocktail & pate starters lovely. Rump steak a little overcooked. Rack of ribs perfect. Large portions no room for pudding

Friendly staff, lovely food (and plenty of it) and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

Stopped off for a business meeting by chance while passing. Service was excellent. Comfortable surroundings and the food was delicious. Home cooked veg and a deep filled pie with plenty of meat. Will definitely return!

Went for a meal out with friends. Ordered in advance so didn't have too long to wait to be served. Had the chicken and bacon salad followed by lotus biscoff cheesecake with ice cream. Everything was tasty and well presented.

Local pup with good and plentiful pub food. First time visit and we had a warm welcome in a nicely fitted out pub, starters were ok garlic bread etc. mains of fish and steak pie. Plenty of choice for desert with sponge and custard, cheesecake and chocolate fudge. We left feeling satisfied. Remember this is a pub with food and not a restaurant. I will go back.

Great Sunday dinner. I had turkey and my husband had beef. Good service. Staff were polite and helpful. The pub was spotlessly clean.

Visited here twice now and the food has been excellent both times. Amazing portions of delicious food. Love the cosy atmosphere in the pub and the staff are always friendly and welcoming.I find the prices to be really reasonable and have been recommending friends and family to visit here for a visit.

Friends treated us to a meal last night at The Royal Oak, they have eaten there often and had told us about the Steak Pie. My goodness me, we all had the Steak Pie, don't think we have ever had a better one, my husband is a connoisseur in the pie department and he said it was the best he had ever had. Please please The Royal Oak put a picture on of the size of the actual pie that you take the portions from. It must be enormous. The chips were delicious and the veg cooked to perfection. We'll be back, PS, the staff were extremely friendly too. Thank you.

Went for lunch at the Royal Oak, Tickhill today & it was very nice. Kept seeing reviews & it looked good so tried it out. Staff very friendly & helpful. Food was amazing & plenty of it. Will definately be returning again xx
