The Salutation in Doncaster

It used to be a brilliant pub, good beer and a great atmosphere to meet for a drink and a chat, but now TVs all over and blaring music. The beer is still good though, just turn the ruddy music down so people can talk.They’ve turned the music and TVs down!Well done Salutation, I salute you, and excellent pint, and I could hear what my companions were saying!

Great pub on the edge of the town centre, with a wide range of drinks available, absolutely tremendous outside area, and plenty of screens (and sport) to feast on. This pub is also dog friendly, and without doubt one of the best in the area. Look forward to going back

Nice place. Descent pint. Now they've extended the garden at the rear it's even better than it was. I've had the satay chicken and homemade chips and that's nice, as is the similar beef.

Superb real ale pub in Doncaster. It's got a nice friendly atmosphere.

Met tonight by a lovely waitress/bar tender called Tiffany, from the moment we walked in to the moment we left she made us feel welcome. Her knowledge of what was behind the bar was impeccable and her customer service was absolutely outstanding! The lady even offered to bring our drinks to our table. I definitely would visit here again and I truly believe the young lady who served us genuinely deserves a drink on the house.

Amazing authentic Thai food. Asked for some sauce that was off the main menu and they had it, I've been in Thailand for the last 3 years, this felt like I was back in my local Thai restaurant in Bangkok

Beautiful Thai food. I would say the best Thai in Doncaster. And then when we went downstairs, they had dance (i think some sort of tango) lessons which topped night off nicely.

Excellent location, excellent beer, excellent staff.The facilities are gorgeous. A wood interior giving a classic pub feel. There is a large outdoor seating area. The Thai restaurant upstairs is excellent and food can be ordered down to the pub at certain times.A true Doncaster gem at the top of the High Street. Tends to get a nicer clientele than some of the pubs further in town

review of the Thai restaurant.Wifi was down. friendly service. The food was very good. I lived in Thailand for a year or 2 and I'm a big fan of Thai food. Food prices were very reasonable. Nice to see some Thai staff working there.3.70 a pint in Doncaster, are you kidding me???? That's almost twice the price of the 2 Wetherspoons and a third more than the Hallcross which has abetter selection of beers. Too expensive for Doncaster. Free wifi and nice decor but you need a 2nd mortgage to have a couple of pints here ;-)
