my daughter ordered a cavery dinner of gammon, what arrived wasnt gammon but ham from a packet.her partner had surf and turf rubbery prawns steak must of come off a 3 month old roadkill cow, when my son in law complained the man bun wearing lump who owns the place actually wanted my son in law to empty the bin to prove the prawns had been put in there, obnoxious abusive blonde haired barmaid with a face as tough as the meat began interfering in the conversation, when we pointed out how disgusting the kitchen was they shut the door, initially refusing to refund they threatened the police, horrible food bad managent a play area that is a health hazzard to children, avoid like the plauge 4,50 a pint and the lager is vile!

The service in this pub is shocking. Slow isn't the word. I must have asked about the food at least three times. There were no menus, the available food was on a blackbord no one told the punters this. When the food arrived the waitress tipped my lads meal down is trousers. She managed to save the lasagne & put it down on top of his garlic bread. The decor looked something out of the 1950s. The staff seemed to serve the locals first. The food that didn't end up on the floor was average. Not very cheap. The manageress was something out of a carry on film, looked a bit like Peggy Mount. We will not be going back there.

Disappointed. From a customer who has visited this pub for the last 15 years I'm sad to say I won't be going again. The quality of food has gone really down hill. Bad attitude from staff. The park is in a very sad state, nettles all around the equipment and the golf section just left to rot.

Absolutely brilliant, good atmosphere, good host. Excellent food and good prices, will definitely be returning

First time I have been here in a very long time & I wasn't disapointed. The staff were lovely & friendly & the food was amazing. I will definately be going back for a return visit.

No vegan food options. Not as good since pub changed hands recently. Had booked a table and had to wait 45 mins for that, then had to wait a further hour for food even though place wasn't busy. We weren't the only customers grumbling! What happened to all the wonderful staff they used to have. Place has lost its friendly atmosphere.

The ship has a lovely, big, play area outside the pub near the car park and seating area. The food was lovely but the plates were cold, my husband sent his plate back to be warmed up, lovely seating areas inside to accommodate customers.Area in car park for hook up for motorhomes, caravans etc.

Food not warm enough on arrival. This was not a carvery as they said, plus most was cold. They "warmed" it up. On return it was no better. No flavour, just bland. Asked for money back and it was eventually thrown on the table.Microwaved carvery nil. Customer service nil. Dont know if this place has changed hands but the food and service is far from what it used to be. Disappointed

·

Lovely little pub, extensive menu, polite welcoming staff, food portions are very generous & the food we were served was lovely although the beef on the carvery was a little tough, my steak was cooked to perfection, will certainly be returning
