Has the potential to be a fantastic venue. Good choice of drinks, friendly staff and an excellent outdoor area. The venue is modern and stylish, and only sadly let down by a lack of chef and food choices, else it would be perfect. Definitely worth a visit for drinks though, especially when the sun is shining

Stayed here due to working in Doncaster. Very welcoming staff. Really nice bar area and exceptionally tidy room with comfy beds. 10/10

No food, no chef, overpriced drinks, flat beer, the usually really efficient lady on duty didn't tell us all this until after we'd ordered drinks.Dirty windows, and wood that needed a good lick of stain outside.Couldn't get outside as the locals were hogging the entrance to the beer garden. If you don't care to be another has been, get a grip quickly...REAL SHAME as two previous visits were rather lovely.

Called in again last night (early) for a table for 2. Refused as short of staff again! I know we didn't book but this the 3rd time we have been turned away for the same reason... Ridiculous

Attempted to order food for outside to be asked to go back on 10 minutes as they were busy, went back 10 minutes later and was behind someone else (that was placing a small food order) to then be told I would have to now wait another 15 minutes to order my food as they had to many orders. Said I would be quite happy to order now and wait longer for the food but apparently they can't do that.My Partner went back in after another 15 minutes to be told she would have to come back in another 15 minutes as the only have one Chef on and those in the restaurant take priority over people outside. The place wasn't even busy, so would hate to see how they would cope if it was busy.

Rare I say this but the experience was absolutely flawless. Gorgeous place, food was absolutely superb. Good dishes done in a high class gastro sort of way. Loved every bite. Service was there when you would expect / want. Never had to wait long for anything. Food was piping hot. Honestly I wish I didn’t live 2 hours away!

Popped in on a whim and was so glad we did. The gentleman behind the bar was so friendly and welcoming, he went and found a waitress for us who seated us promptly. The service was quick the atmosphere was lovely and the food was just beyond amazing, I had the lamb and my partner had the cajun burger with pulled pork.We will definitely return

Food was okay. The hostess was far too busy and made too many mistakes, like asking us if she can take our order when we had not been given menus yet and then 1 minute after we eventually received our menus, she asked again to take our order. Also when she asked if we wanted a second round of drinks, 2 people on our table ordered while I was finding out who else wanted and what they wanted, but she just walked off without taking the rest of the table's drinks order.Hostess...take a deep, breath and cover everything, because it takes much longer to get it done with mistakes in-between. Otherwise, we had a pleasant enough meal, thank you.

Visited for the first time for tea with family for a special occasion. Unfortunately due to several roadworks and the train barriers going down near the venue we were 15 minutes late for our table. When we arrived, we were rudely informed by a blonde haired waitress with glasses that we were late and our table for 6 had been given up. We were not called to check if we were running late and anticipated this was probably due to the roadworks next to the venue. We were told to wait for a new table to be prepared. Eventually once a table had been prepared (about 20/25 minutes despite the restaurant being half empty) we were shown to our table and reminded again that we were late and other guests with bookings after us will be seen to before we would receive any service. Another 10 minutes went by and eventually I had to ask the waitress for some menus so we could at least browse whilst we were sat waiting. For the fourth time we were reminded that we were late and we would have to wait for service. We explained why we were delayed to which the waitress accused us of lying. At this point we felt like leaving as the attitude and customer service provided was not only confrontational, condescending and made us feel very uncomfortable. Almost an hour since we walked in, our orders were taken. At this point the waitress seemed more accomodating to us and assisted with menu choices. This was the service I expected from the beginning. Food service was quite slow and we noticed that 2 other tables had sat down after us, orders taken, cooked, eaten and had left before our food came out. The food arrived 40 minutes after ordering and was all beautifully cooked and of good portion size so credit to the chef. To summarise; we will not be returning anytime soon because of the waitress service we received. May I suggest some extra training in customer service as this was not the level I expected from a more upmarket restaurant.

Friendly enough and polite - food was a "Station Burger" and a Pepperoni Pizza - both were fine - £25 + Drinks... It wasn't inspirational but it was nice enough, but then I'm awkward anyway.
