Vivo in Doncaster

Great food and service as ever. Recommended

Big party very cramp seating. Waiter couldnt be bothered to bring drinks list and food was average at best. £3 for small portion of chips which looked just like mcdonalds but less of them.. wont visit again.

Positives : food was really niceNegatives :1) my fiancée cut her arm on a sheered price of wood.2) the table was that rocky we used our napkins to prop the table up, so we could eat.3) the waitress who attended to us couldn’t tell my fiancée what the specials were/what they consisted of.4) the pink gin had to be sent back and the beer had no life to it.5) it wasn’t even organised chaos, it was just mental, nobody had a clue. We were offered the drinks poured for the couple behind us, we said no they’re their drinks you can’t do that.The place it’s self looks really nice and authentic from the outside, but in the inside it was like a old cafe with chairs from a bingo hall and tables from the 80s, nothing screamed authentic to us, we booked a taxi to leave earlier than expected! Really disappointed and wouldn’t return again.

Had an amazing meal at Vivo last night. Lots of authentic Italian options to tempt us on the menu, and the food was delicious and portioned generously. The service was impeccable with everyone extremely friendly and knowledgeable or the menu. Would highly recommend and we can't wait to return!

Service was amazing and the food was fantastic, it was our first visit but is now my favourite Italian restaurant in Doncaster. If you eat here you won't be disappointed.

Exceptional. Excellent service, lovely warm and personal welcome when we arrived, very cosy and friendly ambiance too. Food to die for, extremely well presented and cooked. Staff and owner very attentive, would highly recommend, can't wait for our next visit.

This is possibly the friendliest restaurant in the area. The food is as good as I’ve had anywhere, in particular the pizzas but I also love the fish. True Italian served by great staff.

The place has a very homely feel to it, especially the entrance.The place is nicely decorated up for Christmas and Christmas songs playing.The first thing I had was the starter; Crocchet Di Mozzarella for £7.20It's a Deep fried Buffalo Mozzarella in bread crumbs, served with a tomato sauce and garnish.At first I was kinda judging how it will taste on looks, but I was expecting a small portion, but definitely bigger than what I was expecting.I'd say this is just right but still probably not enough for the price.It was lovely and I certainly made a good choice, will 100% have this every time.For my main I had Filetto Al Pepe for £23.90It's a Fillet of beef served in a creamy peppercorn sauce with brandy and a hint of garlic.It comes with some veg on the side and I had orderd a side of chips for £3.The beef was about the same size as my starter which I wasn't expecting, it was cooked to my taste, 'medium to well done'.Probably the best peppercorn sauce I've had, all the flavour with less of the spices.The kids had double chocolate cake, there's quite a few afters to choose from and they all look so lovelyWhen asking for the bill, adults got a complimentary shot, kids got lollys... Except me, I got a lolly for some reason so the driver someone else gave me theirs.Overall lovely food, homely setting but it's an expensive hour.

Did not rate the pizza. In my view/opinion you can get better ones at the supermarket. I also found the wine and beer expensive. Restaurant could do with refurbishment or a lick of paint. On a positive note service was excellent and the staff very friendly.
