Not one to complain on reviews at all, however I’ve not been since before it closed down and couldn’t think how it could’ve gotten any worse. Not one to complain so didn’t as don’t think staff deserve it as they were lovely but ordered a £13 carvery… Mash tasted like water, beef you couldn’t even cut with a knife and fork never mind chew, plates are smaller circular ones not the oval ones as before, 2/5 on the carvery… then it got to drinks. Put a splash of lemonade in a gin and lemonade which was around £4, asked for a little bit more lemonade was made to pay an extra £2.50! The gin glass wasn’t even half full? Deserts and staff are as lovely as ever however. No wonder they’re trying to buy reviews by offering customers a ‘surprise’ for a 5 star one. Quite shocked to be honest… Won’t be back.

Had a lovely meal here tonight. Steak was beautiful, peppercorn sauce was on the hot side , just how I like it. Service by Rebecca was attentive but not overly in your face. Looking forward to my pudding as they have amazing deserts. Ordering via the app to the table is convenient - only downside to our trip was that the tables could do with a good wipe as they were a little tacky.

In my previous review I highlighted that a part of my meal must have been in contact with egg as I was a little ill the day after, however I didn't get to say anything about it to staff as someone else ordered on my behalf and forgot to mention my allergy.I went back last night and the food was lovely for all of us with great service and extremely well priced.Great menu choices. The staff were pleasant and attentive.I would definitely recommend.Thank you

Another pleasant meal. We had the standard carvery which was very nice, not as much selection as last time, but we did come later this time, so it was probably towards the end of the carvery. However, all in all the food was nicely cooked and very reasonably priced.The Deserts are out of this world.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Came in to be greeted by the lovely Kelly and advised of the new menu. Have to say I’m really impressed at the new breakfast menu and ordered the poached eggs with avocado on sourdough bread: it was delicious! Prices were really good and the classic breakfast ( for my daughter) was a hit. Haven’t been here for a while as it’s off my route but will definitely be back!

The carvery was delicious and catered for vegetarians. Staff very friendly and the pub has a lovely atmosphere. The cakes are next level but I was too full this time to buy one 😁. Highly recommend.

Visited today with my friend we both had a carvery and a cherry sponge with custard pudding. The food was lovely all fresh and lots to choose from. The sever Rebacca was professional and very helpful. Will definitely be visiting again 😀😀😀

Very nice welcoming smile as we were led to a recently cleaned table. Nicole was very professional and we were served quickly even though we were warned of a long wait for food. Nicole definitely deserves a good review. 5 star service.

Called for breakfast this morning, had the buffet breakfast…. Which came with unlimited tea, coffee and toast. Kelly and the staff were brilliant, the place was spotless. Only thing I would ask is for the choice of tinned tomatoes rather then or aswell as grilled but that’s personal choice. Either way we will be back.

Absolutely terrible. Carvery was stone cold, carrots looked like they'd been sat under the light for at least 3 hours, Yorkshire puddings were solid and literally crumbled at the slightest touch. Asked for a fresh one, exactly the same. £35 very poorly spent. Couldn't even put my Guinness in a proper glass, was in a magners one I think.Overall, re-think your dining plans if you fancy something hot, tasty and worth your hard earned money
