Akash Restaurant in East Riding of Yorkshire

Lovely welcoming staff. Excellent food. Recommended dishes were outstanding. Can't wait to eat eat there again! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Takeaway - food is delicious but service is appalling, ordered a takeaway at 6pm to arrive for 7.30, they said that 7.45 would be a better time for them so accepted happily.Called at just gone 8pm for an update on where the order was on which they said it had just gone out for delivery. We called again between 8.15-8.45 with no answer. My partner and FIL then drive to the restaurant to be told that they had made a mistake and the meal had intact not gone out for delivery nor us it been cooked at this point. Meal was finally ready and home by 9.30. Very disappointing when you have guests over. Won’t be using again which is a shame when the food is so nice

£50 wasted !Sadly gone down the pan since our previous visits , no table cloths , no plate warmers , no after dinner mints .My curry , after waiting 40 minutes for it to arrive should have been medium hot , was mild at best with very little flavour .won't be coming back..

Go four/five times a year, never had a bad meal. Great food, you won't go hungry!

We have been to curry houses from Amsterdam to London, Leeds and Glasgow. This is still our favourite.

New years eve treat,was very disappointed. Firstly had to wait almost 2 hours for delivery, granted they were busy being new years eve so this we overlooked, however on arrival part of our order was missing...rang them and waited for it to arrive...by this time,food was cool and not up to standard. Korma was thin and chicken looked processed...masala sauce was also thin and runny....chips were mediocre. Nan bread was nice but obviously cold and best part was the onion barji.We always praised Akash, recommending to friends etc...sorry but we won't be returning.

We ordered our meal at 7 oclock and didn't get it till 9 oclock take aways take preference over the restarunt then we were told they had forgoten us food avarege won't be back

2 hours to wait for a takeaway to Cherry Burton! I ordered on Justeat and they got the order since they knew what I wanted when I phoned up to see which continent it was on! “It’s just about to be delivered from here” is not the response I wanted to hear and the grunting I heard from the delivery driver was, I assume, an apology. Not even a free pickle tray and poppadom as an apology. At least it was hot if a little bland. Not eating with them again!

Had a very nice meal, the standard of food was very good, but moreover the service was good, polite and very friendly, especially the young lady who served us. Thank you for a great meal.

Great birthday meal with friends. Couldn't fault the service, the food was lovely and we had a great night. We have been going to Akash for over 30 years and the owners may change over time but the place has a great charm and a winning formula that keeps us going back. It has all the staple curries and side dishes on the menu - and the food is always tasty and hot. Of the 3 Indian Restaurants in Beverley, Akash is still our favourite place to go.Managed to eat the meal and make the second half of the England / Ukraine Euro quarter final match ...perfect end to the night!
