We came in at an odd time during the afternoon - right after their daily special but not quite closing time yet. The inside looked quaint and gave an "aged diner" sort of vibe. Staff was lovely and helpful; they even let us order the special even though it was way past the schedule!As for the food itself, the fish was wonderful. The batter soaked up a bit of oil but it was crunchy as expected, while the fish was fresh - firm and flaky. The chips were a bit weak, however. We will definitely be back again, and we may even try a full-sized portion next time.

Worst meal we've had in a long while.I ordered roast chicken and chips.The chicken had been deep fried and was completely dry and the chips were awful. My wife had a cheeseburger that was overcooked.Cant even get the basics right.

My son came in your restaurant with his two small children a pram and got himself a high chair put child's bag on table a baby's bottle. Then took his youngest one year old with to order the food leaving his 7 year old at daughter.A waiter took the High chair leaving son with no chair giving it to someone else for their child. . My son obviously needed high chair 👀🙄.. Leaving my tiny Grandaughter without one. My little Grandaughter fell of the chair hitting her head at the back making her sick disgusting.💔 No one helped he then had to leave as his daughter was being so sick nobody helped him or my 7 year old Grandaughter .. Family restaurant what a joke £30 for nothing as had to leave without eating food.. 🤬 Sure health and safety standards would be interested .

Lovely fish and chips here today. The small (or OAP portion) was plenty big enough for me with a small mushy peas. My husband had the regular. The fish was absolutely beautuful. White and tender with a crisp batter.Decor was very basic formica wipe down tables but clean with hand sanitiser as you walk in.Staff were friendly and chatty

First time in today but won't be the last. Bought small fish and chips between the two of us. Next time will be large. Gorgeous fish and chips and lovely and friendly staff 10/10.

Lovely grub and a proper brew in comfy surroundings the fish and the batter were the best I've tasted.

I worked here as a teenager when I was at university in between years. I cant believe that this place is even still open and it sounds exactly the same as 20 years ago. The boss was extremely obnoxious and used to lie about whether the fish was cod or haddock. He was hostile to wheelchair users and I remember having to fill the fridge with Sarah Lee cakes, from the seconds section, and fill the missing gaps in the cake with squirt cream. Before you wake up and think that I'm in an Adam Sandler movie, it was in fact true. I can still remember the wince on my face as hands were plunged into unwanted grease and ketchup.

Me and my son had a lovely lunch here today. The staff were really friendly and the food was great. It had a lovely atmosphere and I loved the decor, was old fashioned but in a good way! Will definitely be coming back next time we are in Bridlington.

I had the loveliest lunch here today. The fish was cooked to perfection and tasted extremely fresh. The batter was so tasty, the best I’ve ever had!! I had the fish with chips and mushy peas as well as curry sauce and gravy and it was all delicious!! It’ll completely ruin fish and chips in London for me now as nothing else will come close. Staff were absolutely lovely as well, so friendly and accommodating. Will definitely be returning

Really nice fish and chips, haddock was skinned and boned brilliantly. Very traditional sea side chippy. Fish tasted nice and fresh and the batter was crisp, would definitely come back if I was in the area. Staff were really friendly and welcoming.
