Went for Sunday lunch yesterday, although we moved away from the area almost 9 years ago this place never changes. Just as welcoming as before we moved and both the home made food and beer were top notch. Although it was a 4 hour round journey for us it was well worth it, the owner Sheila is hoping to retire and that will be a very sad day for us all... we will be back before you go Sheila.

Fab meal cosy friendly pub.

We had Sunday lunch today. It was one of the nicest tastiest Sunday lunches I have had in ages ! The food was superb the meat tender ( I had chicken) the staff were lovely so polite and attentive. It was clean and good value. Would definitely recommend!!

Stayed in the village this weekend and went to the local both Friday and Saturday evening. Its a lovely traditional local pub, a good selection of drink and delicious food. Staff are also very welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Four and a half stars for this lovely old pub, with lovely staff, and a Sunday lunch to die for!!! Portion size above and beyond what you expect! Puddings we're lovely too, and the prices were really competitive, well worth a visit!

Drove well out my way to get to the pub after the opening times on google said it was open. Arrived there and there where a lot of disappointed people looking through the windows etc…. Wondering they were not open. Top tip…. If you want to keep your google reviews at 5 star…. Update your opening times so people don’t waste their time and fuel costs.

We went in for Sunday lunch , 5 of us altogether. Have to say it was the best Sunday lunch I've had for a very long time. All fresh quality ingredients , it was delicious. Also what really made it special was friendliness off all the staff and the owner. Fab place , would highly recommend.

Excellent customer service, Excellent food, very happy, on holiday so don't know much yet but definitely going back, while we are here it's popular with the locals and that speaks volumes.

We took the kids for Sunday lunch. Plenty of meat on the plates brought out loads of veg all delicious home cooked style. Staff very attentive price very good. It’s very cosy with an open fire low wood beamed ceilings. Definitely recommend
