Black Bull in East Riding of Yorkshire

When we arrived we were greeted by Andy and Michelle. We arrived 2 hours earlier than our check in time but that wasn’t a problem our lodge was ready for us and keys given straight away.The lodge is beautiful and amazing. we’ve been on girly get aways for a good few year now and this is the best one by far. We went to the on-site pub for drinks and food and the food was amazing I accidentally knocked a drink over and it was replaced by Michelle when she didn’t need to.The next day we realised our oven wasn’t working. There was someone there within 15 minutes and as it couldn’t be fixed we were provided with a microwave and the given a free evening meal and a drink of our choice as compensation.Nothing was ever too big or too much to ask for. I have never been anywhere and found people to be so welcoming and friendly.If I could rate them more I would.We are really happy with our stay here and will definitely be back. Thank you so much.

A lovely little pub in a lovely little village, good choice of beverages and great selection of food with very big helpings at reasonable prices, we dropped on with the weather so enjoyed an evening in the beer garden, first time visitors but were made to feel welcome, hope to visit again in the not too distant future

A nice friendly place, the meals was good plenty on the plate and good value for what you got. A plus is that this is dog friendly, nice pleasant staff a good location too.

Great fish and chips and steak 🥧 🙂indoor sitting area is quite small if you appreciate your meal whilst having some privacy. We are a family of 4 so we preferred the "beer garden" which is spacious, good for kids to run around 😉you're looking at about £40-50 for a family of 4 for meals and soft drinks.Definitely recommend and will be coming back after visiting the beach🙂🙏

Nice little pub, cosy and warm. Managers nice and friendly. Great for us, as its dog friendly. Has a lovely beer garden too. Will definitely go back as we've booked a week in Barmston in July

Friendly easy going atmosphere, dog friendly, good spacious beer garden and play area for children. Wheelchair accessable. Reasonably priced booze.

Ordered drinks then food to be advised the food was an hours wait. We waited over an hour and then checked to see how much longer for the food, to receive an extremely rude response from the same staff member that it was supposedly over an hour for food! This was not as previously explained. I requested an update to be told an extra 30-40 minutes before we would have our food, total of nearly 2 hours! Requested a refund which we received with no apologies or anything. Do not go if busy, not very organised. Party of 6 very disappointed.

Having read good things about this place we decided we had to visit for food and drinks while staying down the road. Big mistake. As a group of 5 we walked in to 3 different rooms and the (very disheveled) beer garden and were not acknowledged in any of them despite passing at least 4 members of staff and looking obviously confused about where to go and what to do to get a table. Ended up walking out and wouldn't walk back in if it was at the end of my drive. Very disappointing.

Lovly furnished to a high speck bar great service definitely pop in for drink very friendly.Down falls very small and the hot tub is all open to the wind and rain and not private at all which was very disappointing. Needs something built around it so it's private and you can use it in the rain . Apart from that perfect
