Cafe Velo in East Riding of Yorkshire

Friendly cycle cafe. Nice staff, very attentive. Bike hangers can be challenging if on a heavy winter model, but at least there's off street parking. Simple hoist system feasible? Chose egg mayo on brown. Bread was a bit dry and doorstop-like today. Hope not yesterday's loaf. Will come again. Friends had quiche which looked scrummy.

Nice cafe....abit busy but got a coffee to take out. Didn't realise they had a bike rack inside, parked mine outside, will remember for next time.

Great breakfast and lunch choices, friendly staff and lots of interesting cycling related decor. Menu has plenty of variety for everyone, good wifi and dog friendly. Visited from Essex - be great to have a local cafe like this!

Visited on Wednesday and was very impressed.A great setting and very cyclist friendly.A good menu, friendly and helpful staff, dog friendly, and amazing bacon and sausage sandwiches.Would highly recommend.

Fantastic themed coffee shop, great coffee from locally sourced supplier #theblendingroom and great cakes. This is going to be a regular go to place.

Superb food! Large and spacious room with high ceiling. All decorated with cycling/tour de etc theme - bikes, bits of bikes, a very large cycling cap collection, flags and bunting, cog menu holders and bicycle chain hooks on the loo door. Reasonably priced and they also do very good deal combos. I ordered the vegetarian mushroom burger and it was delicious, filling and colourful. Homemade to their own recipe, it came with goats cheese, a medley of salad and wedges. A good plateful, attractively presented. I would definitely revisit. Recommended.

The best cafe we found in 400 miles cycling from Devon to Yorkshire. We were made to feel really welcome, the coffee was good and strong, the breakfast was amazing and the cake portions were very generous. The owner was very chatty and helpful with recommendations for the local area. I wish we were local so we could come back!

Excellent coffee stop. Fantastic selection of cakes, brunch and lunch. Indoor parking for your bike, superb memorabilia on display with photos and frames, tshirts and more. If you are stopping in Beverley you must visit here. The fried egg buttie is a winner. See you on the road!

We've been in Cafe Velo twice and both times have had a warm welcome and very nice food. This time I had the club sandwich which was huge and had egg in it, which I've not had before in a club sandwich but which was great. Helen had the toasted tuna cheese melt and Oscar had ham and cheese toastie. You can tell the ingredients are high quality and it's all put together well. The owner seems to talk to a lot of the customers and cares that people have had a good experience. Price is reasonable. Little more than a greasy spoon but well worth it.
