Capricorn Restaurant , Bar & Playbarn in East Riding of Yorkshire

Grate bar and we have done this little jem 6 times now waiting for the next

My son came here for a children's birthday party. The atmosphere was lovely and he seemed to really enjoy himself.

Lovely food, fantastic value for money. Play barn so clean. Kids had so much fun. Staff lovely, polite and nothing too much trouble. Will definetly be back to visit again.

Worst meal ever, overpriced rubbish. Had a christening thought have a carvery go for something extra special to be left so disappointed. The food was awful veg hard that kids couldn't eat, coliflour cheese tasted of nothing, parsnips over cooked like eating twigs, stuffing tasteless, gravy like water, mash was tasteless smash and the beef under cooked and very fatty that you just couldn't eat it. A 16yr old carving the meat with painted false nails, no gloves and no hair net covering her long hair didn't have a clue what she was doing, we had to tell her she was using the wrong knife that's why she was struggling to cut it straight then next thing she was serving behind the bar. They were serving warm, flat beer and cans of coke from multi packs and charging you £1.80. Basically Wetherspoons beats The Capricorn hands down !!

Went for a Christmas dinner with a large family table. The restaurant was quiet which was great and suited us. The soft play area was excellent for the kids in our party and kept them busy whilst the adults chatted.

Such a lovely place with friendly staff and a lovely tasting carvery while the grandchildren played in the playbarn . Well organised and with the reassurance the children playing safely with the help of the cameras to watch them . Will definitely be back

Went for an 18th and staff were physically pushing people out the door into freezing cold and windy weather at 12am with no way to get home. One woman was really sarcastic saying “It’s nice and warm in here”.

What a fantastic venue. 100% enjoyed our evening. The food was spot on, the service was excellent. I will be arranging our staff Xmas staff party without hesitation. Goole has never had a restraunt like this. I am so impressed. Thanks Capricorn for a great evening 👍👍👍👍

Lovely carvery today, the sticky toffee pudding is the best I have had in a long time. Very engaging with the whole family, even with the baby.

I would just like to thank the Capricorn for doing a fantastic job hosting our Black Tie event (Ball) 85 people in Goole had their best night in years, i personally need to thank everyone at the capricorn as it was faultless, greeted with drinks, every persons food was piping hot and probably the best 3 course meal i have had for many years it was beautiful. The staff couldn't do enough for us and was committed throughout the night, the band was great and the venue adapted marvellously with 60 people plus on the dance floor most of the time.Lovely open courtyard for a breather after dancing the night away under the stars, you couldn't ask for anything more from the night, it was a great success, without a doubt we will be booking this venue again for our functions. Well done to Mandie who was especially helpful with anything we needed.Paul Challenger (Chairman - Goole Town Tigers JFC)
