Freshly cooked fish and chips. Very tasty. .chip shop looked clean and hygienic.

Just had fish teaI’m not a complainer normallyBut tonight it was not it’s usual standard every chip had skin on them couldn’t eat them need to improve didn’t ask for skins I asked for chips

Popped in on the way home for 2 fish and chips, big mistake, fish was over cooked and the batter solid, chips were soggy and greasy. Considering that they are cooked to order there is no excuse. Very disappointed ended up in the bin.

We eat fish and chips once a week and have tried many establishments in whitby, scarborough, filey, brid and hornsea. Currently we find deep blue brandesburton to be the best. In our experience the fish has always been cooked fresh, thin , tasty, crispy batter and top quality fish, chips have also been good and not too greasy. Fish and chips are fairly expensive these days but we think they are good value and there are many other places that are more expensive.

Had a busy day, helping our daughter and her partner move house, hadn't eaten much all day, so thought we'd stop off for fish and chips on the way home.Totally wish we'd not bothered!! 2 small fish and chips, 1 portion of peas....£17+!!!Fish greasy and almost tasteless, too many chips, also very greasy, and some had a peculiar hard-but-chewy texture!!Won't be back anytime soon, sorry.

A great Fish and Chip shop, batter just how it should be and the staff were delightful. My wife and I have called in numerous times and never been disappointed… Plenty of good food and plenty of kindness. Fab.

Food is fantastic but only been there twice and each time my order has been wrong when I’ve got home. The lady that serves is lovely but cannot use the computerised till. Like I said though the food is amazing. Get the. Staff a course on how to use the till

This used to be my absolute favourite place. Living in Hedon, travelling many times here. Not been for a while. First choice today, as in the area.The server, wasn't listening to orders and wasn't very clear, explaining things, to customers.We ordered 3 lunch time specials. I wish I could post a photo, of mine. I have picked through the chips amd had to discard 60% of them. When I peel potatoes, I dig out the black bits. £6.99 for a sausage, curry, chips( 40%, of what was a small portion at 100%) and a drink.Unfortunately, this will be probably be my last visit here. My husband went for the fish bites. His box was loaded to the max. Inconsistent and how the servee can put the chips ( black bits and scrag ends) in my box, after filling my husbands box full, is beyond me. Very disappointed.

Great fish and chips. One portion would easily fill two people. Cooked fresh to order. Nice clean established chippy
