Lovely traditional pub. Excellent menu, serving roast dinners during the week! Service and staff were amazing

We took Auntie for her 94th Birthday, she really liked the place and we always have. Sunday dinner was excellent, homemade Yorkshire, fresh veg and plenty of gravy. We all had the smaller appetite portion and Aunty could have done with a children's one. We'll be back, I would recommend booking for Sunday dinner The dessests looked gorgeous, but one couldn't manage one.

Outstanding pub, lovely village location with beautiful local food on offer. The food is so good we booked Christmas Dinner here in 2021 (which we said we'd never do again after a previous poor experience elsewhere) We were blown away, well worth the money.

Lovely large and pet friendly pub with warm and welcoming staff. They have a very large carparking area on site, plus outdoor covered and uncovered seating areas available too. The food was cracking, proper home cooked and arrived in good time too. Would recommend for small or large group meals with family and/or friends.

Absolutely lovely food, however the service let, what would have been a nice afternoon, down.Once we had finished our meals, unfortunately we were left waiting for the table to be cleared and a dessert menu. When a menu eventually arrived, we ended waiting so long, that we gave up and asked for the bill instead.Such a shame.

We visited today with friends. The Dog and duck had a superb menu which we will be going back to sample. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The presentation of the food was very smart indeed. The food was very delicious and served in a timely manner. The decore and ambiance was most enjoyable. We look forward to going again very soon. 😁I had one very minor gripe which is my personal preference. I like to have a fork and spoon to eat my dessert, we were not given a fork, I could have asked for one but didn't. A very trivial thing I know.

Came for a Sunday dinner and very much enjoyed it, I just think there needs to be more side vegetables provided. Had the ones cheesecake for dessert which was incredible!

Disappointed. Not the best, too many refried chips and couldn't tell the difference between Lamb and rump steak in the mixed grill. Haddock was soft and mushy more so than the mushy peas, after all the hype we were very disappointed even the service was bad. The girls serving us were not attentive at all we didn't even get asked if we want any more drinks after we clearly had finished our drinks. We won't be returning which is a real shame as we had high hopes after all of the glowing reviews.

Well my wife and mother in law were treated very well on our arrival. We sat outside and ordered drinks. We looked at the reduced menue and chose our meals. They had fish and chips, I had beer battered sjrooms and chicken stroganoff. It all came piping hot, not greasy and the fish was a big fat fillet. Crispy batter that wasn't greasy either. Lovely setting and fab food, with drinks came out at just over a tenner each. Oh it's the best pub on this side of the road. Plenty of parking too.
