Emon Spice Lounge in East Riding of Yorkshire

Came for a birthday meal, the staff are lovely. The food was delicious and they offer a 3 course meal for £9.95, they even gave us complimentary tea and coffee. Highly recommended and we will be returning :)

Absolutely delicious. I've never had a bad meal from here. When I visit my family and we have a get together, my first choice is Emon. I had the Jhal Bhuna lamb, meat melts in the mouth, lovely balance of flavours with a suttle build of heat from the chilli. The onion bhaji was huge and incredibly tasty. Really good pashwari naan. If you are looking for an Indian restaurant or takeaway to experience, look no further! By far the best around for miles.

Called a £79 order a day ahead for 7:30pm delivery. They forgot to do it. Called at 7:50pm, they promised it by 8:50pm. Called at 9pm, they promised 15 minutes. Called at 9:30pm two hours after it was meant to arrive. Promised 10 minutes and it was with the driver. 10pm still nothing. Got a takeaway from somewhere else… didn’t take long…

This place is a hidden gem. The food is always tasty with fair sized portions. This is both a restaurant and a takeaway and having used both services I can only speak highly of it. The service is very good and staff are friendly. Only slight criticism is that it's a bit on the expensive side for a takeaway now, but these days that seems to be the case everywhere.

Absolutely appalling experience.The food was very cold and dry when we eventually got it.When I ordered the food I was given 90 minutes time.2.5 hours later we finally received our food and it missed 2 complete meals.The whole experience has been a joke.I can only assume it is in new hands as we have never experience this before in 2 years

This use to be our favourite Indian. But after tonights experience I'm disgusted. We had to wait 2 1/2 hours!! for our food to finally be delivered (we only live 10mins away)! to which when it did finally get here, my main meal was missing! and my rice was stone cold. when i rang to complain, he said that it was never written down and its ok because I didn't get charged for it. (the guy who took the order read the order back to me, so it must have been written down). he had no answer to this. he then said next time I called i could have a free curry and he would keep it in his mind! I somehow think that isn't going to happen as he wouldn't even write my name and address down. absolutely disgraceful service!

Not sure where to start here. Ordered food at 6 didn’t arrive till quarter to 9. When it arrived a chicken tikka masala seemed to have disappeared which we ordered, and in times like these 7.50 is a lot. The owner was telling me that my food wasn’t cold, when I was the one funnily enough eating it. The pieces of chicken I could have mistaken for some type of refreshing sorbet. The owner whoever you are seriously needs to think about customer service as we didn’t even receive an apology. It was that bad they gave us raw onion instead of mango chutney as a side dish for poppadoms.Would not recommend to anyone absolutely appalling.

Fantastic curry and service! Really enjoyed the murgh achar and mixed starter for 2. Portion sizes are perfect (not too much nor too little), service was well paced and attentive. A lovely evening during our holiday to the area, thank you!

Lied to serval times about delivery being on it's way.It was supposed to come for 19:45, it arrived at 9:20.The staff were rude and unhelpful.This is the second and last time I have experienced this level of bad service.My order was missing items too!I will be using Voujon in Brough in future.Avoid at all cost!!!
