Usually love it here for my children. But last night I thought the service was a shambles and when I politely said when paying a nearly £200 bill, Ian said yeah we're short staffed, what more do you want me to do.... whilst walking away shaking his head and storming into the kitchen. We arrived at 4:45 and our mains took over a hour and then we thought we would chance the puddings which took over half an hour, we received apple pie and custard on a side plate. And despite the server passing us the puddings not one dinner plate got moved.Walking around you could see the whole restaurant was in the same boat but majority of tables was empty, it was probably the quietest it's ever been but service still shocking.Working in hospitality myself, communication to the customer prior and an apology would of made us feel more in the loop, but walking out feeling like we couldn't put our expierance across I think is disgusting.

I paid £125 for a cold meal that we waited over an hour for. One of my party was also ill the following day. We were a party of 6 adults and 2 children, only the kids were happy, mainly because of the play area which is pretty good. Home Farm used to be the place to go, now it's the place to avoid. Very disappointed.

Came here for breakfast this morning and as I need to eat a gluten free diet, I asked the person who showed us to our table, I think he was the manager. This guy was brilliant, and went on to tell me everything that might be a problem for me even down to explaining that customers cross contaminate the utensils and offered to have a breakfast cooked freshly for me.i was made to feel so comfortable here and not a nuisance. Thank you souch, we will definitely be coming back

Stood waiting at entrance podium for 10 minutes before anyone came to show us to a table. Plenty of staff milling about but all managed to look anywhere but in our direction. Eventually, someone came to sit us down and told us of a few items unavailable.Went to the bar to order and little miss happy behind there greeted us with "what do you want?". Friendly greeting. She then advised that one of our items was unavailable, asked about alternatives, she stated "everything else". Really helpful. Sat down and starters came, minus one dish. Staff members were uninterested in sorting this out.Waited and waited for mains, never came so chased up. Apparently our order was being rushed in the kitchen, but eventually came out stone cold. Half the food went uneaten.Spoke to manager who could barely put a refund through for the missing starter, let alone give much for the rest of the meal. Awful experience, surly disinterested staff and hopeless management. Will never return.

What a perfect visit. Great service from the duty manager when we ordered the food, which was delivered promptly.... hot, generous portions and frankly delicious. To top it all extremely friendly service from our waiter. Nothing was too much trouble for him. A thoroughly enjoyable visit. Thank you.

The staff are really friendly and make you feel welcomed, high standard of customer service and the food is great (Vegan burger is very impressive).

Wont be going again!! Made a booking for 6 people, when we arrived for our booked timeslot they did not have a table for us ready and tried to seat us in a squashed up corner of the bar area, only did they make more of an attempt to find us a table in the dining area when we said we were thinking of going elsewhere. We all had carvery, the gammon was very fatty, there were no carrots unless you wanted to wait 20 minutes for more to be done and the peas were not strained and just floating in the dish. The dishes the food were in moved around whenever you tried to get anything from them and badly laid out so any looser sleeves/items of clothing were dangled across the dishes at the front! If anywhere else were available to fit in our party we would not have stayed. Very dissappointed, rest of the food was just average.

This is meant to be a boxing day meal i usually go for a carvery on a Sunday which is lovely. I really thought with it been over the Christmas it would be even better so disappointed not only the food was cold but service was shocking 😐 I won't be ever booking again

Friendly service but the lasagne was cremated to the dish. Normally have a good experience at brewers fayres but this one wasn't great.

On arrival, asked to scan the covid QR code and taken to the table to be seated. It is all table service. Masks to be worn while manoeuvring inside and removed once seated. Everything looked clean and tidy and all precautions taken seriously.Friendly staff and the food was good.
