Gold Cup Inn in East Riding of Yorkshire

Delightful mid-spring meal. Excellent hospitality, delicious food, lovely back garden. A perfect local pub off the beaten path. Our family enjoyed it enormously.

We booked in advance, welcomed on arrival. Meal were exceptional. We chose the duck and the gammon. Well worth a visit and would definitely recommend to anyone.

A lovely pub, friendly staff and a great pints of real bitter that seems to be missing from my part of the world. Great food and places to inside and out.

I've been visiting the Gold Cup since I was young, and will continue to do so.Many years down the line its never failed me for theexcellent food, Irish Coffee , and Beer. The staff are so obliging, helpful and polite nothing is too much trouble .On visiting today i asked if at all possible I could have pasta ,with spinach, also cheese .Matthew the chef happened to hear my conversation and said he'd put something together for me no problem.When it arrived , it was so very well presented , smelt divine , and tasted so dam good !!I'd just like to say *Thank You * Matthew !

Lovely meal last night although my pie was strange a sort Of flat scone /cobbler top ,meat was beautifulbut was craving a proper pie oh well shall have some thing else next timeHubby had roast beef dinner he really enjoyed that,all food was piping hot !

Been going with my family for years and thought I should leave a review, it’s just bloody outstanding. The food is never ever bad I’m talking years of experience, the service is absolutely top notch due to how damn lovely the staff are and generally just a fantastic and genuinely wonderful place to go for an evening meal and a bev. Couldn’t recommend it higher!

My partner and I live locally so have always tended to venture further afield for Sunday lunch, but as the weather was terrible we chose here today. Delicious food, excellent value for money and lovely staff, we'll certainly be back.

We visited at 5:30pm on a Thursday evening on the off chance of getting a bar meal as the original pub we had chosen was closed due to Covid. We were not disappointed, the staff were lovely and welcoming and there was a real fire roaring away in the hearth to which we quickly made a beeline. We chose Steak and ale pie with chips and scampi and chips, both were very satisfying. We plan to visit again.

Booked fairly last minute but so glad we did. Lovely little pub tucked away on the village of Low Catton on the outskirts of York. There was plenty of choice on the reasonably priced menu the food was delicious, staff were friendly and efficient and couldn't do enough for us. We'll definitely call again when we're in the area and I would highly recommend anyone to pay a visit.

Well firstly my husband and i walked 2.4miles from our B&B to the Gold Cup phew felt like 5!! But it was worth it tucked away in a beautiful little hamlet lovely surroundings. When we arrived the staff were welcoming and friendly, we were shown to our table drinks arrived promptly and didn't wait too long once we placed our order. We ordered roast beef dinner which was very tasty. Then we had one or two drinks or even 3 to prepare us for our hike home. I can recommend a visit.
