Worst Chinese we have ever eaten at. Shabby restaurant , freezing cold , old brown prawn crackers , wrong main meal for the children , raspberry sauce instead of tomatoe (or off sauce!) No Chinese Tiger beer. Gave 1 star because they changed 1 meal for the correct one. Children put off Chinese and have said they won't try it again.

It was friendly, looked after us well ,and the food was out of this world ,and the atmosphere was nice,,,

Driven past this impressive building on numerous occasions. Finally had a meal there tonight. Welcoming staff very helpful and chatty. Great original menu as opposed to the usual Chinese fayre. Had Chicken in a Singapore sauce. It was delicious. My friend had duck in Singapore sauce. Both were delicious. Wine was a great choice and the service was good. Will definitely be back.

Seemed a long wait, half the food burnt and very dry, some items missing and then they brought food to the wrong table. First time I have been served soup last on the course. Asked for the Bill and waited ages again to find out the guy forgot I asked for it. All up for the younger generation having a job but didn't seem like it was being organised or coordinated by anyone in charge. Won't be a second visit for us.

Food was really good. We couldn't get through on the phone so decided to chance it and drive to the restaurant.Salt and pepper chicken very tasty, chicken curry was lush (except not a fan of mushrooms), chips were spicy and very tasty. The guy we met in the restaurant was very nice.

Despite some of the silly reviews in here .I've been in here many a time and always been happy with the service of the staff the cleanliness and especially the owner very nice chap always greets you if he's there of course. Order your food which is lovely and whilst your waiting have a beer that's good stuff there to

Initial thoughts on this place were similar to previous reviews. You walk into Great Wall Chinese and are greeted by a terrible smell of damp. We got shown to our table and were surrounded by damp, also. On the ceiling above us, to the side of us the whole wall was damp and somebody had made a very poor attempt to cover it up with a few small sheets, but a lot of the damp was still on show. The tablecloth had dried food on it and on an empty table next to us we saw mould markings. It took a lot for us to stay here but as this was the 8th place we had called to find somewhere to eat for a group of 6 in the summer holidays, we decided to stick it out as we had no idea where else to go. There is a hygiene rating on the door to the toilets of 4, but it is not the most recent one. The most recent one is 3, and you can look this up on the gov website.Luckily, the hospitality of the people there were very lovely. They were on the ball with service, were very friendly and easy to talk to. Half of our group ordered a selection of things to share and the other half ordered their own individual meals. Both worked very well and the pricing wasn't terrible either. The main event, the food, was delicious. It was perfectly cooked and tasted incredible. If we were to come back here on holiday again, we would definitely return... For a click and collect order. It seems very sad that it's been 10 months (at least) since the damp was a problem (see previous reviews) and nothing has be done yet. If the cleanliness was improved on this place could absolutely thrive.

It was great, the waitress we had was charismatic and talkative which is always great. The food came out at good times and the layout was great.

Got a takeaway. The sweet and sour king prawn had that little sauce it had disappeared by the time we had got home and we had to add a home made sauce to be able to eat it with a steamed rice (which was the only decent part of the meal). Crispy noodles were just a crispy bird's nest accompanying another tasteless unrecognisable dish. No spices anywhere. Definitely one of the worst takeaways we have ever had. 😥

I read the reviews of this place before we came. First impressions really lead me to what I thought was going to be a bad night... Firstly, we came in and it stunk of damp. And very quiet isn't a good sign. The table we were sat at was quite dirty so we asked to be moved and there was a dripping from the ceiling into a bucket. The menus were sticky and horrible. HOWEVER... The staff were very kind and generous. Good portions and all the food we ordered as a party of 5 were amazing. There was nothing to complain about. The owner was very helpful and was funny too. Really tried his best to make our night special. First impressions were bad but the food is what we came for and the hospitality was very good!
