Good fish and chips, online ordering was down on my last visit, fish and chips a bit pricey but I think that is a general trend

Ordered a large haddock and got a child sized one instead, don’t have the time to go back and when I rang it said they were too busy to take calls. They’ll be getting a lot less busy if this is the standard they are aspiring to. Will be going elsewhere in future.

Called in today around 3.40pm. Fish cooked fresh, chips had been stood weren't very warm. I thought fish small, supposed to be large.Disappointed, used to be excellent. Most expensive I've had in area. I wouldn't call again, give me Stuart's at Norwood anytime.

Ordered Fish and Chips and a Curry sauce with scraps got the order home to find peas instead of curry sauce, the batter on the fish was not cooked through, and the xhipswere dry.very disposing indeed, we get the same order every week. Not IMPRESSED THIS WEEK,,,

Terrible. We went to the shop around 7 pm on a Tuesday, with two people waiting - yet had to wait for around half and hour - as they appeared to be prioritizing telephone orders.And things got worse. No chicken burgers, or patties. Needless to say, the gentleman in front of us, was not happy at all.We had considered ordering online - but have often had items missing - and get this; they wont refund you, and say, 'just mention it next time you order' - which of course is illegal!They have also previously made a 'service charge' for card payments - which again is illegal! They obviously have little respect for UK law.Surrey based Deep Blue Restaurants Ltd., would seem to have little respect for their customers too - and maybe they are purely driven by making money, at whatever cost?It's such a shame that this Beverley chippy is such a let disappointment. I had originally used the chippy at that premises in the early 1960's. And it was always popular. Unfortunately, whilst the updated and modern interior may be a big improvement - the management and service is definitely not. So After getting my supper from these premises for over 50 years - this was the worst it has been.To their credit - the food we did eventually get, tasted much better than other previous purchase made from here.Overall, I would say that as there are very many food outlets in Beverley, including other chippy's - I would suggest trying elsewhere - until at least they finally get their act together, or better still, sell out to a company that are more customer focused.

The fish and chips are very good cooked while you wait. So they are nice and hot

We usually give great reviews for this takeaway but we ordered a large haddock and chips and a small haddock and chips and the fish is the same size, I would actually say the small one is bigger! In future will just order small!

My family have been consistent customers from its opening a few years ago Every Thursday, either using the restaurant or take out. Over the last few months noticed different and younger staff.Thursday ordered kiddies fish bite meal and usual meals. No kiddies fish bite meal. Rang shop to complain. The following Thursday, requested a refund for last Thursday mistake. Confusion. "Cannot do that, not company policy!!", stated the server, however I insisted and refund given relative to my order. Arrived home, no mushy peas and small fish with 12 chips. Ordered larger fish with senior meal and mushy peas.Waiting outside in the pouring rain, the staffs main objective was to priorities the delivery meals not the queuing wet customers. The wet customer(s) commenting on the internal disorder and their past problems with orders.Do not want a refund for my vanishing mushy peas nor undersized large fish and 12 chipsWill not be visiting this place again

First class fish and chips.After a pleasant stroll around the market we found this fish restaurant tucked away. Clean and modern premises - looked like it had been refurbished everything looked newWe ordered a large and a small haddock meal with mushy peas and a pot of tea for two. The meal came with bread (thick sliced) and butterCooked to perfection and service great all for £24.50 - we will be back

All potato products were burned on the outside and undercooked on the inside. Low quality food, and the order was incorrect. Received chip buttys when ordered just regular chips. The sage patties were just barely mashed potato with barely any taste of sage or onion. The curry sauce tasted as if it was just sugar paste. Will not be ordering again.
