Hayride in East Riding of Yorkshire

Slow service from the staff, who seemed to be friendly. Almost as if there weren't enough people working.Steak was overcooked, other meals arrived cold and the mashed potato was clearly not fresh and was a funny yellow colour.Popular food items were out of stock and the overall price was expensive for the product purchased.

The restaurant was busy but still served quickly at the bar when I went to order. We ordered a couple of those challenges to share and were very impressed by the value for money! More than enough food for the 4 of us and it was delicious too. The steak fondue was particularly good - cooked to perfection and my new favourite thing to order.

Couldnt give no stars would if I could. Not only could the whole pub hear the chef having a major tantrum in the kitchen out of the 3 dishes we ordered only half of one dish was edible. The steak I had was stone cold, the fish and chips looked as if it had been cooked first thing in the morning and was barely warm, and also the scampi was luke warm at the best. What a waste of £62 will never go back to this place again, TOTAL GARBAGE

Really nice, cosy place, food was good. Toilets were pretty grim though, no toilet roll, broken tr holder and no soap.

There is alot of stuff on the menu which is great until you go to get served and thay hardly have anything 3 people from a group of 7 didn't get what thay wanted because thay didn't have any. Finished our meals went for coffers and there was no milk so no coffee either . It's not the first time it's happened either thourght the first time maybe was a one off but obviously not.

Asked for two dishes both sold out, ended up with curry and rice. Portion size ok. Was microwaved hot. Pre-packed food. No specialised cooking, staff friendly, establishment clean, spacious and nice vibe

Ordered two meals from menu, told one of which wasn't available. Decided to get the same as my wife to make things easier, two meals of hunters chicken with chips and sides. Told it would be half hour wait for meal as it was quite busy. 50 minutes later received the meals, very basic quality, hunters chicken had no cheese on it, didn't receive sides. Ah well, you get what you pay for, ate and left. Will not be going again.

Popped in on a whim to see a live band, the staff pointed out our table and informed us of how to set up a tab. Card swipped so if we left forgetting to settle up they had a means of recovering the bill. (I don't mind this), the pub was busy and the staff were always courteous to all patrons, also there was no prolonged waiting to get served. Although we did not eat food was served to tables nearby and what I saw all looked fine and I would eat it. The manager Sean offered us a table with a better view of the band after a no show (our table was ok but with limited view of the act, we did book it the same day). I can not thank him enough, infact all the staff. A good night turned out to be a great night. I will return and bring the family to eat. Please pass my thanks on to all the staff for the great job they do.

Had a amazing meal at Hayride. The mango chicken skewer was lush. Erica and Joshua were so helpful and the sizzling steaks looked amazing coming out of the kitchen. The place looks really nice having a rustic feeling to the place with the exposed brick walls. Will be returning again to try that fondue challenge!!!!

Very tasty chicken burger. Fairly standard pub inside, but definitely enjoyed the food
