Hen House in East Riding of Yorkshire

Appalling service from hen house, order a mighty box and a feast box at 20:00. Then at 20:55 I get a call from the driver to say he's outside, but nowhere to be seen (turns out he's gone to the wrong address in Flamborough amd we live in Bridlington).I phoned to shop back up to say that I wont be happy if the food is cold because its done a half hour round trip in car)When it arrived we received a completely different order which was soggy and cold. So I called back and they said they will send a new one out. I then asked for a refund and to forget it. 5 minutes later the driver turned up at our door at 21:15 with our original order. And guess what, It was soggy and cold. So I called back up to ask for a refund but they said to get a refund they needed the food returning. SERIOUSLY!! We decided to keep the food and just heat it up. I then asked if there was any discount to be knocked off the food bill but they said we can have a discount the next time we order.Absolute joke! We wouldn't stand for that quality and service in a restaurant so why should we stand for it for a takeaway.Not recommended!!!

Best chicken I have had

ordered 3 times in 2 weeks first 2 where nice hot cooked to perfection but tonight's was delivered cold chips and chicken nuggets cold in fact the chips were as if warmed up.. soggy not like previous 2 times nice and crisp... very disappointed with tonight's meal . Had to warm all up in micro . not same . . but must say a vast improvement on the chicken quality .. UPDATE ::Had chicken meal tonight . and it took around one hour to arrive .. BUT well worth the wait & it WAS Bank Holiday Monday :) still had to warm chips and better cooked this time ,, But chicken was Brilliant .. better than KFC anyday .. Thanks . Brilliant delivery now so hot on delivery so what previouse delivery folk were doing who knows ! looking forward to next order . ....update today sat 7/may 22 hi just a small complaint .. you or one of your emplyees delivering your new menus left a heap of them on my gas box at front of drive this morning .. what a idiot good job i saw him on my recording camara and removed them so not to blow around in wind .. note we have signes asking NOT to post junk mail etc .. he cleverly thought he would get round this by dumping them on my front garden also we have your new menus as we have deliveries of your chicken often so please respect our property thanks

Great chicken all clean and crisp no grease will use again no problem

saw a young girl working there who was just answering the phone and taking orders then one of the other staff got nasty to her telling her to go, need to learn to treat their staff better

The best chicken I have ever had, quite frankly it was the best experience ever from a take away. F A N T A S T I C !!!!!!! Can't wait to go again brilliant..

Ordered what we normally order girl on the phone said 13.90. Driver came to door said 18.80 we didn't clock on till after why it was so expensive... Rung up to find out they over charged us but didn't bother ringing us back up to tell us. Staffs attitude absolutely disgusting. Hour later come out to give us 2 pound back when really it was about 6 pound. Driver walked off saying "it's not fair" rude and disgusting. Will not be ordering from here again!!! Food cold on arrival too

Hi im graham , ive ordered from the hen house twice in the past. The first time we called in took the order and ate it in the car on north side, al was great .We ordered food last sat chicken was cold , fries werent fresh but stale, not very nice.

Very friendly and helpful staff food was delicious whole family really enjoyed their meals. Will definitely be using them again sooner rather than later if the kids have their way 🙂👍

Very inconsistent. Chicken is sometimes very stringy and tough. Last two orders also made me feel ill the next day so will not be returning.Update on new order received tonight. Decided to give them one more go and what a disappointment. Chips where completely soggy as though they are reheated when last time they was crispy. I also opened up my chicken burger to find an eye lash / small hair inside. Never going back again. Chicken this time was also cold. Very inconsistent with deliveries and would like refunding.
