Excellent fish and chips. Bring your bike club!

This is a hidden gem well worth seeking. Food was excellent. Staff were friendly and good at their jobs. Great restaurant facilities. We enjoyed the takeaway so went back another day to enjoy the dining in experience. Would strongly recommend visiting. We will be on our next visit to Hornsea.

Excellent fish and chips. Asked for small portion but still too much for me. Fish was creamy with very crispy batter, chips were chunky, just right, no small pieces. Very good value.

Very busy restaurant on a Tuesday lunchtime in February. Obviously the menu majored on fish and chips specials. We had the small portion and were we glad that we had made that choice. The regular size was way too much for us, but if you have a bigger appetite it's perfect. Very reasonable with tea and bread and butter included. The fleshy fish was delicious and the plentiful, well cooked chips were wonderful. The service was very efficient and very friendly. Altogether a perfect birthday treat. Would highly recommend.

Had fish and chips many times over the years, and it used to be the very best. Unfortunately, it has recently steadily declined. Today we were greeted by surly, sour faced staff, and served over-priced tasteless small fish (£6-50), drenched and dripping with oil and covered by a new disgusting thick batter. They have cheese and potato pies on the menu, but they are never available. Some improvement is definitely required.

Excellent best fish& chips.very good service and loverly restaurant

Really fantastic place. I tried the lite haddock and chips and it was more than enough. The fish was so fresh and tasty and the chips were lovely. The tarter sauce and curry sauce were also fab. The service was good but we had to wait quite a long time even though the restaurant wasn't that busy but it was definitely worth the wait!

Food was excellent best fish and chips eaten in a lovely restaurant.Unfortunately there was an accident within our group which dampened our spirits somewhat. We didn't want the young waitress involved to feel any worse than she clearly did so we didn't make too much fuss. We completed the required paperwork as requested. Accidents happen & we understand this but felt the managerial staff could have provided more sympathetic aftercare to our injured friend. Just a follow up phone call would have gone a long way.

Have visited Whiteheads for multiple years.Hands down the best fish and chips I have had anywhere.Pros:- Good portion sizes- Good price- Very tasty fish (very fresh, fully skinned and boned)- Crispy chipsCons:- There can be quite a wait depending on the time of day (aim to get there early and out of peak periods, the wait is worth it though)

Seemed really busy with lots of locals and the adult portions were nice. I am not too sure what the brown stuff was inside the fish fingers that we got for the kids.
