Old world charm and ambiance with pleasant seating and a large dining room. Plenty of seating and tables outside too. A quality varied and we'll thought out menu and good range of wines made out visit most enjoyable. Ideal for that Special occasion.

Wonderful meal for a family birthday! This isn't a place for cheap meal but the quality of food and service is fantastic. The team were very accommodating and made sure we had everything we needed. The sticky toffee pudding was spectacular and I was even able to have ice cream, custard and cream with it.Highly recommended

Great Food, Great Atmosphere, Great Staff. I couldn't knock it, I just wish it was in London! My partner and I announced our engagement to my family during our visit, overhearing this, the staff played some celebratory music for us a the end of the evening without us even asking - great touch.Thank you for making it an extra special evening!

Called in for lunch yesterday with 2 fussy vegetarians and a noisy toddler. Absolutely loved the decor and those on duty were very welcoming and helpful.Pretty much everything was good, however the vegetables served with my meal could have been a lot better. Would rather have had 2 properly cooked vegetables than the medley of overcooked wet mush. Veg is 2/3 of the meal so a little disappointing. Hence the dropping of one star. That said I still look forward to a return visit.

Would recommend, booked for daughters birthday, food good , staff great even came out with candle in cake for daughter and got all to sing happy birthday, lovely ambient room , with lots of Tiffany shades over all tables , bit out of way in small village setting but beautiful.

I had lunch with friends. It was very quiet, due no doubt to covid. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent, the wi e was pretty good too. A lovely experience.

Was so amazed . As soon as I walked in I knew I was in the presents of the old time 5 star trust house forte staff . All staff experienced and trained to the 5 star Rocco forte way . Amazing food . Try the scallops . But to be honest . Just eat there . Awesome . They did an amazing surprise for my partner angel on her birthday . When in area will always eat here . Thank you again to all the staff for making our stay memorable. Thank you so much ... Andi Williams

The Hotham Arms stands out from the crowd when it comes to pub restaurants. They offer high quality food, good value for money, and with a good range of meat and fish options. Beth, our server, and the chef were fantastic and very accomodating to our needs as vegetarians. The outdoor nooks are very cosy whilst giving you the chance to enjoy the sun. The decor is tasteful and traditional with some whacky elements, like doors for table tops outside or clowns hanging from the ceiling! My advice for them to push this to the top for me is... Be more adventurous with your vegetarian choices! Butternut squash risotto and mushroom stroganoff are the uninspiring standard I see on many vegetarian menus. We came for the very unique "veggie cakes" promised on your website and you'd taken them off your menu! (though many thanks for making them anyway!!!) Without a doubt though, would recommend for a casual meal or special occasion!!!
