Another fantastic meal at JJ’s. First class food and fabulous service 👍

Ordered a takeaway for tonight, placed the order last night and paid. Received an email this morning to say our order has been missed! And we will get a refund. We originally booked a table but had to cancel as you cannot eat food outside (our dog is with us so can’t dine inside) as they are short staffed, we were not told this when we booked and have not brought sufficient food with us for our stay as had booked our evening meals at JJ’s. My partner called in on Friday evening to see if we could order a takeaway for that night and double checked everything was ok for our bookings. it was then he was told that we could not eat outside due to staff shortages nor could we eat inside with our a dog, so he cancelled both our evenings bookings for tables. A female member of staff advised him of this. We then had to spend time and money on food for evening meals from a supermarket as we obviously hadn’t brought food with us for evening meals. great start to our holidays

Been a few times now and the food has been incredible every time. Great gluten free food for coeliacs, the ribs are to die for! Staff are always friendly and attentive.

Very disappointing visit to the restaurant today. Complained about the fish and chips that were obviously over-cooked chips very dark and the batter on the fish very dark and very hard.The worst part to the visit was the bad attitude we felt the staff had towards our complaint.We will not be using this eating facility again.

Really nice food - especially the dirty fries and nice staff. They did get our drinks wrong and tried to charge us twice (honest mistake) but all rectified really quickly through good customer service.

Found this place on Google and thought we would give it a try.We didn't come for the golf (even though it's in the Allerthorpe Golf and Country Club), we came purely for food.The place is very nice upon arrival and the staff are very friendly and approachable. The choice on the menu is quite varied and the specials are interesting - something for everyone.We had the Halloumi kebab and Retro burger - they didn't disappoint! The burger was one of the best I've tasted in a long time and the chips were amazing! The kebab, I was told, was very good, just a very large portion!Prices were very reasonable and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.In fact it was that good we came back for lunch again 2 days later - this time on a Saturday.We were expecting it to be much busier, but as the weather was attrocious, it was fairly quiet.This time I tried the Southern Fried Chicken burger and my wife tried the Schnitzel.... Again the food was very good, portions again were a little large, but this time we took some cakes home with us.... They were good too!The staff on the second visit were just as enthusiastic, polite and helpful as before and we really enjoyed ourselves.All in all a good place for food and drink, not overly priced, but excellent food!Highly recommended!

Lovely place and such amazing staff. We really got looked ater by Sean, had some lovely pizza and enjoyed the chilled atmosphere. Impressed with the menu and will be back!

Nice food, great service, very reasonably priced. Came here twice during our stay at Allerthorpe Golf Club for food plus a handful of times for drinks. Definitely recommend.

Just been again and this time took photos!pizza burger and chicken kebab with extra onion rings.very very nice flavours and the ONLY complaint my wife has is she couldn't eat it all(trust me she can eat).Good beers and rather alcoholic goodness.we will be back...

This is my favourite place! It's such a gem. Excellent food and drink. Warm, friendly welcome by kind, helpful, knowledgeable staff. The food is amazing! 2 for £10 pizzas on a Wednesday and burger club Thursday. Great for groups, couples and kids. Wide menu choices catering for vegan and vegetarians. A must try! Not wheelchair accessible as it is upstairs.
