We visited the Farm Shop yesterday by chance as we only noticed it when driving past. What a great shop! Really good selection of jams, chutneys and relishes, fabulous cakes, local free range eggs and meat/ cheese counters with locally produced goods. We bought a Steak and Ale and pie which we've just had for dinner and it was, quite simply, the best pie we've ever had. Absolutely scrumptious, delicious pastry and packed with tender, tasty beef. Not cheap but, goodness, do you get what you've paid for - and more! We will definitely be back.

5 adult ,3 children for afternoon tea. It was lovely the staff were really nice. Food lovely would recommend in fact can't wait to go again.

Good selection of groceries from local suppliers and specialists. Can get busy sometimes. Not the cheapest but good quality, recommend meat, deli, and baked products. Has a good restaurant on site as well.

Fantastic food but service not brilliant, plenty of staff 'hanging around', plus extremely cold inside most people had coats on or blankets provided but after 2 blankets each we were still cold. Such a shame ...heating really needs to be addressed.

Went there for lunch today, the chicken was not cooked! Had a funny taste to it I then cut into the middle of the chicken which was very pink! Told a member of staff they took it back to the kitchen to which they came back out and tried to tell me it was the marinade which gave it a pink a colour ( trying to pull the wool over my eyes will not work, the chicken would not go a pinker colour as you get into the middle if it was the marinade). I was then very ill this afternoon. I will never be going back there again as it is simply not worth the risk.

Dropped in today for some lunch with 2 of my kids. We were greeted immediately and felt welcomed. Sat down quickly and talked through the menu. The food came quickly too and was amazing. Both my kids had the vegan breakfast wrap and I had mushrooms and egg on toast. Utterly sublime and my kids loved theirs. Simple but very well done and great tasting. I use this place regularly for food shopping but hadn’t eaten here as yet. Wish I had.Great food. Helpful, friendly and happy staff. Highly recommend this place. Will be going back. Good place to take folk too as you know it’ll be spot on.

Lovely range of delicious farm shop foods, meats, local gins and wines and baked goods including gluten free delicacies! Always a pleasure, although a tad pricey! 😉

Rude, arrogant and unprofessional. I ordered two sandwiches from the deli (pleasant lady) and said I would pay for them (another pleasant member of staff) and wait outside for them to arrive. I sat down at one of the 8 tables available (no signs to the contrary) with my 3 year old daughter. Clare (front of house and very rude) dashed over picked up my bottle of ginger beer and said 'stand up' we did stand up at which point to the amazement of other customers she remonstrated that the table had not been sanitised. I told her to leave us alone and that we would stand and wait. Imagine my surprise when the owner Katy came out informing me that she was watching on CCTV (no signs) and I was in the wrong. It is called the HOSPITALITY trade for a reason!!

Visited today with my family as it's our daughter's birthday. We were warned when arriving that food could take up to 30 mins as they were busy. We understood, but asked: as we have a hungry 1 year old, could we order a tea cake on its own so he's not left waiting. 20 minutes later, there was no sign of the tea cake. We then asked another waitress who was so much more helpful (lady with red hair). Two minutes later, the tea cake arrived. The food was just "OK" for the price. The fish with the "posh fish and chips" is 90% batter with the smallest amount of fish and quite weird tasting relish inside. The chicken burger was terrible. 3 tiny round pieces of chicken which bearly cover half of the bun. It's been a long time since we've all been out as a family and we'd been looking forwards to visiting. However, we won't be coming back in a hurry. If it wasn't for the second waitress (who was much more proactive, friendly and helpful than the first one we encountered), this would have been a 1-star review. In fact, the first one was pretty rude when we were paying and seemed distracted and uninterested.
