Excellent gastro pub, lost in rural East Yorkshire, really beautiful location where you can enjoy excellent British food! The highlight for us was their award winning Yorkshire pudding... One incredibly delicious plate of food!!

Lovely food, great atmosphere, lovely wait staff and covid safe. Without doubt the best place we've eaten for a while. Everyone, staff and customers being kept as safe as possible. Thanks. We will certainly come again.

Upmarket restaurant - more expensive than the average pub but good service and food standard. Olde worlde ambiance. We had a very pleasant and unhurried experience. The car park is accessed from the back of the pub.

We had a lovely meal at the Star today. But for the price we paid we felt the portions were quite small. We asked to be seated by the fire as we arrived early. But we were told the tables were booked out and so we were seated in a corner. We noticed when we left that the seats by the fire were still empty.

Absolutely superb. Great surroundings, lovely place and the staff are exceptional and a real credit to the owners.Choice of food was excellent and tasted great.They also clearly value the health and well-being of their staff and diners. Masks are required and is a policy I wholeheartedly agree with.We eat out a lot as a family and a couple and can honestly say it was one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a very long time.

Booking was very easy on their website.The staff were very friendly and professional.The food was delicious.The dining area was immaculate and clean.New perspex screens have been added between tables to follow government guidelines.The portions were fantastic for the price.Overall a very good meal and time were had.
