Sonali Spice in East Riding of Yorkshire

Four of us are just back home after having what we can only call a truly fantastic meal. The food was fresh, full of flavour and cooked exceptionally well, the service was excellent, very professional while being friendly and efficient. We had a fantastic night , can't wait to return 👍🏻

Loved it! The mixed starter sharer was really good, especially the lamb! The main was also outstanding. Service was fast and attentive and overall a lovely dining experience! Came away full (so very full) and very satisfied!

Consistently great food, great staff and really go the extra mile. Visited Saturday 2nd April for my daughters birthday and they really looked after us. Take away also excellent too.

Prompt and efficient delivery of our order. A little confusion about payment but delighted with the meal we ordered, if anything the excellent Tandoori mixed grill would have been enough for two. We must go for a meal soon as the takeaway was lovely.

We went here for dinner with friends on Saturday night and the atmosphere was buzzing.The restaurant is beautifully decorated with tables and chairs, and booths too.It is located on the first floor but there is a lift if you don’t fancy the stairs. The staircase is wide with a good handrail and well lit. There is free parking right outside too which is very handy.The staff are very friendly and the menu is very comprehensive with good descriptions.We ordered poppadoms with a tray of dips to begin with which was great, and then we each ordered a different starter. My fish pakoras were tasty but the garlic mushrooms were disappointing. Our friends had chicken pakoras and onion bahjis which were both excellent.For mains we each chose a different curry so we could try different ones. They were all tasty but my chicken tikka saag was more spicy than I expected so they very kindly took it away and tamed it down a little which was great!The drinks were very reasonable at £17.50 a round (2x gin and tonic, 1x Cobra, 1x lemonade).The overall bill was £111 which we thought was very good for four of us :)We will happily go again :)

Came for the first time for my birthday with friends after a recommendation, sadly 2 couldn’t come due to weather condition,ms, I called the restaurant 3 times to let them know but it was an automated call. We turned up and the staff was rude and not helpful, the dish we ordered didn’t represent a normal dish, waited 30 mins for a drink, I appreciate they were busy but we won’t be returning.

To be fair I had a very nice meal, chicken chat and Sonali Special, but my wife was slightly disappointed with her main of Shashlik chicken, hence the 3 Great staff, attentive and humorous.

Takeaway here gets 1 star - 2 hours and hadn't arrived, judging by other reviews it's a common theme. I don't think takeaway should be an option if it can't be fulfilled in a reasonable time.Eating in gets 4 stars - I decided to visit the restaurant in person to see how the experience varied to the takeaway service, I must say that I enjoy the food and the service was fairly good during my visit.

Nice Surroundings in the restaurant clean and tidy the food wasn't to my liking perhaps the meat dishes are better but the vegetarian Jalfrezi that I had was mostly under cooked onions and a large chuck of potato the staff are very friendly and constantly asking if you want another drink and I mean constantly! all in all I don't think that I'll be visiting again anytime this Millennium.

Was very busy tonight and possibly the reason for the slow service. But it was worth the wait. Staff are particularly friendly.
