Straddles Coffee Shop in East Riding of Yorkshire

It was very nice a bit pricey and my chips came once i had finished my sausage rollThe place is beautiful well worth a visit

Disappointed overall. Poor choice of food in the cafe & expensive.In the farm shop there were no prices on items, had to ask the assistant, again very expensive.

Cafe: It was very busy and noisy. Service was very slow. Food was good when it eventually turned up !

Need to get their act together!! Had to wait 35 mins for our food, and didn't even get an apology! It wasn't very busy, so I don't know how long you would have to wait on a busy day!

Fabulous place to Visit or even purchase a Year Pass....Staff very friendly especially in the Entrance to the grounds and the Gift shop across the Road..

Great place, lots of different choices in farm shop and bakery, the cafe food is excellent.

Disappointed. Went to the farmshop and stocked up. Then went through to the cafe only to be refused service for coffee and cake as they were going to close in 20 minutes. I wondered how long it takes to serve cake that were still on the counter and draw a coffee from the machine at the till. It wasn't because they were busy seeing that staff were standing around. I was told that I could have takeout so they had time. But then I could have bought the same in the farmshop. I wonder where else would appreciate by business.

Very busy, but still very friendly service. Warned it would be a wait for food but order taken. Sat outside for an hour as the crowds dissipated. No food turned up and when queried they said they would make it. We were obviously overlooked and we were not the only ones.These things happen, and a refund was given, just for the food not served. This was done by a very embarrassed young member of staff, who was sorry it had happened. No apology forthcoming from anyone senior, or explanation given. It is an open kitchen next to the till and the chef must have been made aware but chose to ignore it.Mistakes can be overlooked in my book if reparation or apology is offered. But nothing forthcoming in this instance. Not to take away from the obvious hard work and cheerful demeanor of the young waiting staff, who were very pleasant.On the positive side, the cakes we bought for dessert made for an excellent main meal and the cut price sandwiches in the farm shop adjacent were very tasty.

James the farm manager gave us a trip to see the deer which was fantastic, very lovely gentleman. Food in the cafe was so nice. We will be back again.
